"Alright, y'all 're comin' with us." The red stallion drawled, taking Ian by the arm, who tried to pry free of his muscular grip.
"What? On what friggin' grounds?!"
"The grounds o' citizens helpin' out their ruler."
The blue mare grabbed Alissa by her arms, who immediately fought to free herself, screaming, and the yellow pony grabbing Horace from behind. The red stallion whipped out a thick, rusty chain locked into a loop, which he shackled onto Ian's wrist.
"THE FUCK IS THAT?!"
"Hold still 'n we're not gonna have any troubles!" The stallion struggled to grab Ian's other flailing arm, but managed to snatch and cuff the wrist. The blue mare forced Alissa's arm out, which were easily shackled, centering her with Ian inside
the chain's circle.
The other stallion nearly lost Horace after releasing one hand to grab the chain, but yanked him back by the collar when he tried to run off, binding him back with his friends.
"What now, Big Mac?" The blue mare asked.
"Gotta take'm where Rainbow says. Come on."
The stallions grabbed an end of the loop each and hoisted the chain up around their shoulders, forcing their hostages to hold their hands above their heads and keep up their pace off the road, towards an empty truck sitting in the land some distance off the highway.
"Big Mac" and his friends played rock paper scissors with one another, defeating the mare. She hoisted herself into the driver's seat, struggling to squeeze through, while the stallions pulled the scored coworkers into the open trailer, slamming the door behind them, the letting the light in only coming by the skylights.
"Horace, what're we going to do?" Alissa whispered fearfully. The engine ahead roared to the life, and the entire trailer quaked against the rugged terrain.
"I don't know, Alissa, I don't..." But a beat of green light sparked within the underside of his gaze, peering through his shirt. It was then that he finally realized a small, pebble sized lump that'd been sitting in front of his chest, threaded by a string hanging off his shoulders.
Wait a minute... "Guys? I know this sounds crazy, but I have a way to beat all this." He struggled to keep his voice as quiet as possible.
