He's shaken awake by one of the ponies.

Chapter 15

"Hey, human, are you awake?"
Horace opened his eyes. There, standing right above him, was the yellow stallion, teetering just above up, just a few inches away from falling over and bringing the entirely of his bulk onto Horace.
As Horace pulled himself up out of range of being crushed, the yellow stallion grabbed ahold of his arm. "Come on, then." he said. "Things have changed."
As Horace found himself pulled towards the barricade of cars along the highway, he saw Ian and Alissa (who were both being held in place by the red stallion), the various other ponies who had built the barricade....and, rather surprisingly, someone who had certainly not been there before.
Standing there on top of one of the larger cars still in one piece, was a blue pegasus mare with what could only be described as a rainbow mane. Wearing a blue t-shirt and pair of athletic shorts that had been outgrown about four or five sizes ago, the pegasus was somewhat more slender than most of her counterparts, being only somewhat obese rather than very, very obese.
"--so just hunker down where you can and wait for further instructions." the pegasus said. "Equestria's counting on you ponies, and we all need to do our best to help pull this....does anyone else smell Stop N' Burger?"
The yellow stallion pushed Horace forward. "We caught this guy and these other two trying to run through the barricade."
"Hmm." the pegasus said. "Did they have any hayburgers, then?"
"Not a thing."
"Rats!" the pegasus said, looking at Horace. "...What are you looking at?"
"You, of course." Horace said. "Who are you?"
"...Wat, what?" the pegasus said. "You have no idea who I am?"
"I just said that, didn't I?"
"The name's Rainbow Dash, buster! The single fastest flyer in all of Equestria."
"...Never heard of you."
Rainbow Dash scowled. "The buck are you talking about? EVERYPONY knows who I am."
"Then why haven't I heard about you, then?"
Rainbow Dash began to grit her teeth and snarl at Horace....until, that is, the red stallion poked her in the shoulder. "No use in getting upset. He's just tryin' to rile you up."
She nodded. "You'll get what's coming to you, jerk." she said to Horace, before turning back to the ponies. "Just do what you gotta do, and everything'll go perfectly." With those last words, and a final scowl at Horace, Rainbow dash slowly lifted herself into the sky..and then, just like that, blasted off into the distance.
Choice 1: Horace and the others escape.
Choice 2: Horace and the others are brought to a makeshift prison.
