Alissa suddenly gunned the engine and began to slowly drive towards he barricade. "I apologize in advance for anything bad that happens."

Horace and Ian said nothing, and instead simply grabbed hold of whatever came within reach.

As the car got closer to the barricade, the first of the earth ponies stepped forward, a yellow stallion with a brown mane, just barely fitting inside a green shirt and pair of blue jeans that were already coming apart at the seams, muscle and fat rippling with each movement he took.

"Come on, then!" he said, waving them forward. "We don't mean any harm to you, we just want anything you're carrying!"

"We know you have Stop N' Burgers on you!" said one of his comrades, a blue mare wearing the remnants of what looked to be a jogging suit . "Just hand them over, and we'll let you pass."

None of the fast food workers said anything.

"Come on, don't make this difficult!" the stallion said, stepping right in front of the car. "We can do this the easy way, or we can do it the ha--"

And then Alissa make the whole question moot when she hit the petal as hard as she could, and rocketed the car forward.

"Sweet Celestia!" the stallion said, leaping out of the way of the car.

As the car drove through the open path at a stomach-churning speed through the sea of empty cars, the earth ponies in the way began to run and jump out of the way (as well as they could as overweight as they were), denting and flattening cars as they came into contact with them. So it seemed, these particular ponies were still sensible enough to recognize imminent danger, and the car was soon able to clear most of the barricade without trouble.

"Almost there...." Alissa said, teeth gritted and fingers bone white. "Almost there....."

And then, right out of nowhere, the car stalled.

Well, not quite. There, right behind them, a red stallion with an orange mane had somehow been able to grab hold of the speeding car and hold it still, even as the car's tires continued to turn as quickly as ever.

"This ain't a fight you're gonna win." the stallion said, looking at the car's occupants with an utterly stoic expression. "Just stop, okay?"

"Like hell we are!" Horace said. "Make this car go as quickly as you can, Alissa!"

Choice One: The stallion loses the battle, and the car is able to get away.

Choice 2: The car isn't able to get away, and the three are left at the mercy of the ponies, who are still hungry as ever.
