"What?" Ian said, looking at his captors with disbelief. "Are you kidding me?"
"Nope." the red stallion said. "If you can't bring us to any hayburgers or what have you, we'll just have it all brought to us."
"....And how exactly do you plan to pull this off?" Alissa said, staring wide-eyed. "The authorities are already scrambling to keep everything under control after what's been going on. Why on Earth do you think they'll be interested in just three hostages?"
"Because it's not just going to be you three." the yellow stallion said. "If we keep plucking people out of their cars and make them hostages as well, the authorities will have to give in."
"...And you expect them to just give you all the hayburgers and fries you cat eat?" Horace said. "Do you even know what'll happen if the cops learn you're doing this?"
"Seeing as their hands are so full," the red stallion said. "it seems like a given that they'd be willing to play ball and give us what they want."
"And if they don't have any hayburgers to give you?"
"They will."
Horace began to speak up again, to tell the red stallion and his crew that, no, the cops weren't going to be able to do anything like that..until he noticed that the red stallion's eyes (as well as every other set of eyes present) were all but glistening with hunger and greed, and that every single set of lips was covered with drool.
"Do you know how messed up this is?" he instead said, looking over the ponies for any sign of rationality or sanity. "Taking hostages over fast food? Fast food that makes you enormously fat in a matter of days? Does that make any sort of sense to you?"
"You couldn't understand." the mare in the tattered jogging suit said, grabbing her belly and cradling it in her arms. "It's the most wonderful thing imaginable."
"Better than anything else in the world." the yellow stallion said, smacking his lips. "Better than all the cakes and sandwiches and pizzas and soups and salads and desserts in all the world."
The red stallion simply nodded.
Choice 1: After a number of hours, the three launch an escape attempt.
Choice 2: The three fall asleep....and have a very unexpected visitor.
"Nope." the red stallion said. "If you can't bring us to any hayburgers or what have you, we'll just have it all brought to us."
