"What should we do?" Elissa said, eyes gaping. "I--they're not going to try to break in, are they?"
Horace looked up and down the window, gazing over the approaching hoard. They were only a few hundred feet away now, just close enough for the workers inside the restaurant to see the expressions of unbridled hunger and desire on the faces of the approaching ponies.
"They are." Horace said, reaching over to the main door and slamming it shut. "We need to make a run for it."
"....What, seriously?" Ian said. "Leave the restaurant for those guys? You wanna get fired?"
"Do you want to get trampled once they force themselves inside. Just--as soon as they get through the main door, everyone just get out through the back and don't look back."
As the various employees of Stop N' Burger made their way to the back of the room, the hoard finally made its way to the front of the restaurant, and began to pound on the doors.
"Let us in!" one white unicorn said. "I need my onion ring fix for tonight! Come on, we know you--"
"Give me two triple hayburgers with extra pick--"
"You can't do this to us, you guys! Come on--"
"Let us in, we know you still--"
"--An extra large order--"
"--two hay teriyaki supremes--"
"--Come on, don't--"
"Let us in!"
The crowd only grew angrier and more frantic with each passing moment, pushing against the doors with greater and greater force. The doors--no, the entire wall was beginning to make increasingly loud noises from the sheer mass being forced upon it.
Horace and the others backed away form the doors, watching in silent panic as the doors began to buckle in their hinges.
"Wait for it, wait for it..." Horace said, watching as the mob grew bigger and louder and meaner. "Wait for--"
And then the doors finally gave, and a lot of things happened at once.
As the mob forced its way trough the doors and windows, Horace found himself running through the back doors of the place, trailing just behind his fellow coworkers and what appeared to be a few hundred ponies forced themselves into the Stop N' Burger, and the air suddenly rang with the sound of broken metal and voracious chewing.
...It was only some time later that Horace, Elissa, and Ian stopped running, taking refuge outside an old gas station.
"Honestly, I never really thought that our food was never that good." I an said. "Not to warrant.....that."
"Of course not!" Ellissa said. "It's insane! Nuts! It's--who on earth would invade a fast food restaurant in order to eat frozen hay-fries and hayburgers?"
"Well, we all know all too well that they really did like our food." Horace said, wiping his brow.
"But not to this extent!" Alissa said. "Something's wrong. Something's horribly, horribly wrong."
The various fast food workers looked at each other in uncomfortable silence.
"What do we do, then?" Ian asked.
"We wait it out." Horace said, after a moment or two of thought. "Just--just wait to hear back from our manager, the cops, the government, whatever--and just stay low until someone figures out what's been going on."
"Is that really the best idea you've got, Horace?" Ian said. "Lay low? Oh, come--"
"There's no way that something like this could happen without getting attention from someone higher up. You can't just overlook something like this, and something will have to be done about...you know."
"That makes sense." Alissa said. "I wouldn't mind being able to go to work without having to worry about having my hands bitten off by some fat pony---OH GOD!"
As Alissa said thee final words (and then ran off as quickly as she could), Horace and Ian tuned their heads just at the right time to see, rather distressingly, a few dozen pony blobs running at them, all looking hungry and all headed straight at them.
"We know you got hayburgers!" one earth pony said. "Hand 'em over!"
"We smell it on you!" one pegasus mare said. "We know you got them!"
"Oh crap." said Horace.
Choice 1: The various workers attempt to simply outrun their pursuers, and lose them in the city.
Choice 2: The workers attempt to find somewhere to hide where the ponies can't get to them.
