For a moment Diamond Tiara' seemed to be in a rather bit of a funk about your current situation before her ears suddenly flicked forward.
"OH! I just got a great idea!"
"Hmm? And what might that be?"
She pointed her hoof at your hand and asked, "Why don't you show me what you can do with that magic of yours? Give me a demonstration. of your powers. I tried to get Twilight to show me her magic, but she... uh, kicked us out of her castle." Diamond Tiara looked away in embarrassment.
You chuckle internally as you recalled that episode where Twilight was teaching Sweetie Belle how to use her magic and all the other foals wanted to just meet the Princess until she caught wind of what was going on and kicked them all out.
"Alright, I guess a little show couldn't hurt. I can do a great many things by pulling spells from my Lexicon, including warping space and time, creating pocket dimensions and even altering my size and appearance. There is a drawback, though, as casting spells draw energy from my own body and as such there are only so many spells I can cast before my body gives out from exhaustion. It can be dangerous but also highly rewarding."
Diamond Tiara listened with rapt attention to your little lecture and gazed at you with widened pupils.
"Wow, that's so cool! Earth ponies draw their magic from the earth and the food they eat, so it tends not to run out very much unless you deliberately starve yourself. Could you show me a human spell, pretty please?" She batted her eyelashes at you to emphasize that last part.
