"Well, I suppose I could show you what one of the other myriads of worlds out there is like..." you mused. The filly's eyes were as big as saucers and her tone was hushed as she looked upon you with sheer awe. "Can you really do that? Open a portal to another world, I mean?”
You took your hands and stuffed them into your coat pockets before giving Tiara an apologetic look. "Yes, one of the first things you learn in your magical training is the ability to open up doors to alternate dimensions, and yes, I'm completely capable of opening up a portal right here and now, but...”
“But.. what?” Diamond Tiara pressed. “What would happen?”
"It would extremely irresponsible of me to do so." You mean, you could but in doing so it was possible to be lost in the multiverse without proper ways to return or get back and you weren't keen in opening a portal to her much less fillies with innate curiosity and wanderlust, Who know what would happen? The moment you open one, she could get the impulse and wish to go around wandering in worlds that would be too dangerous for her. Not to mention that the town, especially her parents would pin all the blame on you for her disappearance. "I’d rather not get in trouble with your parents or the whole town and be accused of kidnapping."
"O-oh. I see. I hadn’t really thought about that. I would hate for them to worry about my being gone." Her ears drooped. “Tell you what I can do though,” Tiara looked up at you, eyes shining with hope. “What I can do open an aperture and look inside, just to take a peek. That way there would be little risk of something going awry and you getting lost.”
You pensively scratched at your cheek and under your neck. "I think we can start with an alternate version of Equestria, to gain some knowledge on what other ponies' lives are like. Who knows, we might even see an alternate version of you, though the chances of that happening would be pretty slim."
"Really? Why so?" Diamond Tiara asked curiously wondering why seeing another version of her would be slim, call it narcissism but she wanted to see herself, if just for a bit.
"It's just a matter of probability, really. Though I can control the position of the portal to some degree if I have no foreknowledge of what's on the other side it'll usually just open up in a random spot. You're just one little filly among hundreds of Ponyvillians, so it's safe to say you would be easy to miss." you explained.
"Ohh, I guess that makes sense." the filly agreed with a slow nod.
"Alright, get back a little bit. I'm going to need some room."
The filly did as you asked and retreated a few steps as you began chanting. Your eyes and hands began glowing as a small swirl of colors with landscape appeared in its center showing before the filly's very own eyes, opening up like a window into another world. it was fairly small, too small for her to enter but big enough to see through. "Alright." You ceased chanting and glowing and looked down a the filly as well the window to the other world.
She seemed to be caught up in whatever other universe she was looking at.
