In spite of being drenched in it, you didn't have the time to ponder about the nature of the liquid that you were mostly coated with, the quaking suddenly became a lot more intense out of nowhere and it felt like you were trying to stand on the sea itself during a storm. Enormous waves of this odd caramel-colored and gelatinous-looking mass bounced you around or flung you in random directions, all while more and more of the watery blobs kept rushing past you.
As the seconds turned to minutes, you picked up on there being some kind of pattern to the seemingly erratic quaking and jiggling, allowing you to maintain your balance more reliably but the giant blobs of salty, strangely sticky water were still a problem, getting flung around more unpredictably all around you, and each one of them splashed down heavily, making large puddles that made the already unstable terrain slippery.
As much as you tried, it became nearly impossible not to land on those slick trails left behind by the things and so, you slipped and fell on your back, feeling thankful that the ground was so ridiculously soft but then your eyes widened as your surroundings darkened a little, there was a massive water blob projecting its (mostly transparent) shadow over you. You braced for impact but it splashed loudly near you, barely missing you. As if you were amidst some kind of bombardment from hell, more of these rained down all around you, making loud splashing noises, drenching not just you but the general area you were on, forcing you to stay still, the safe choice at first but you feared that your luck would soon run out.
You heard the sounds of many of these watery masses splashing at once and much to your horror, a much larger amount, looking more like a proper wave, was rapidly coming for you. There was no time to react, there was nowhere to escape, you were hit head-on and the powerful wave dragged you along. You hoped that the wave's own random flowing motions would either spit you out or it would simply leave you behind and continue along its path but as you turned to look, your eyes widened and your heart skipped several beats: You saw a gigantic abyss, one that could even put the likes of the Grand Canyon to shame! And you were heading straight towards it!
'Oh, NOW the landscape changes, goddammit!' You thought, adrenaline coursing through your veins as your panicked survival instinct kicked in. You took impulse and leapt out towards the side, struggling for a moment to overcome the liquid's hold over you, it definitely felt a tad stickier than plain salty water but not quite enough to think it was some kind of gel or syrup.
Thankfully, with some effort you were able to escape right before it flowed down the abyss, turning into a makeshift cascade. Exhausted, you simply laid flat while catching your breath, relieved that you narrowly avoided disaster. You even failed to realize that the quaking had ceased until you recovered enough oxygen that you could start thinking properly again.
Not wanting to push your luck, you stood up with some considerable effort as your muscles were aching from all you'd been doing without getting much rest. Then you began to walk away from the abyss, not feeling any curiosity anymore, the risk of falling down there had been way too real for you to want to try your chances again.
The doughy terrain was only marginally easier to traverse, the large blobs of water weren't there anymore but they'd left behind plenty of liquid, making shallow river-shaped puddles all over and making the ground itself slick and slippery beyond measure but at least you weren't bouncing all over the place. Still, you had to keep paying a great deal of attention to where you walked. You still shuddered, that massive chasm had been so deep that you couldn't see where it ended, and you didn't hear all that water splash either.
At one point, your mind had gotten into an auto-pilot kind of mode as you kept evading the wetter parts of the ground while you were still trying to decipher where you could possibly be, your feelings were too real so there was no way this would be a simple nightmare or some other kind of altered state, you didn't even do drugs or alcohol either. The scorching sunlight also felt way too realistic for any sort of hallucination.
Then, you found yourself upside-down and it took you at least a few full seconds to realize you had slipped and fell. To make matters worse, you rapidly began sliding along one of the many slick paths left behind by the water blobs and were once again heading towards the dark chasm. You quickly turned around and began clawing at the squishy terrain, which began to shake almost as if responding to your efforts. You grew frustrated as all that lingering humidity made it extremely hard to keep a grip on the gelatinous-feeling ground and were forced to wipe your hands several times, trying to get them to be dry enough to get a proper hold.
And then... there it was, that ominous feeling of weightlessness. At that precise moment your stomach sank and you felt as if your life had just reached its impending end. Your heart beat the fastest and hardest you'd ever felt, pumping adrenaline all over your body. You could practically feel the energy surging into your limbs and with that, you took as much impulse as anyone could while in mid air, aiming for the gigantic cliff's border ahead. There was no time to think, barely any time to feel, your mind focused on only one thing: To reach that cliff's edge and climb back up or die trying.
Diving through the air, almost like your typical hero before he made an epic landing, you managed to reach the edge of the 'cliff' and clung onto it with all your might. At that very moment everything shook intensely, almost as if trying to dislodge you but you put every ounce of strength in your body into your hands' grip on the jiggly, wobbling mass while your feet anchored themselves into it as best as they could.
Both Sheila and Miriam had to try their hardest not to make any noises, the urge to giggle was extremely strong. Miriam herself had shuddered, her crack proved to be quite more sensitive than she first thought and when you clung to it, it sent truly wild tingly waves all over her back, making her feel like she had goosebumps all over.
"Damn, you almost got him" Sheila wrote, exhaling a bit louder than usual, feeling like she was about to burst with laughter. But then she noticed Miriam's shuddering.
"What's wrong?"
"It tickles a lot! My baby's tickling me!" Miriam texted back and almost burst out laughing herself, she was even blushing from how hard she was trying to suppress her giggling. The tickles that you were giving her were by far the most intense she had felt, she never imagined something so small could feel this strongly but then again, you were in a pretty sensitive spot.
"Interesting" Zuleima replied "I wonder if that's just because of his current location or if the shrinking had something to do with it"
"I dunno. It also felt pretty good when he picked my wedgie out" Miriam nonchalantly replied, giving her hips a slight wiggle as she savored both the current feeling in her crack and what she felt before.
'What the hell, why does it feel like this world is trying to throw me down the abyss?' You thought, getting annoyed as the doughy mass you desperately clung to shook more. Worried about slipping down, you were forced to blow on your own hands to dry off what sweat appeared on your palms and all while struggling to maintain your balance in a precarious position. Your shoulders soon began aching again but the shaking stopped and you were able to start climbing, and with all the 'land' feeling like some kind of pudding, it was rather difficult but there was no lack of handholds and footholds.
It may have been only a few minutes in reality but you felt like you'd been climbing up for an eternity, collapsing from sheer fatigue just a few steps away from the gigantic cliff's edge. You were feeling like you could fall asleep at any minute now, but the panic and probably the adrenaline still in your blood kept you awake, taking breaths as deep as possible to try and recover even an ounce of strength to get away from this dangerous part of this already bizarre place. However, you could only resist for so long and without realizing, your eyes closed and you drifted off into a much needed sleep.
An unknown amount of time later, you woke up with a jolt and at first, you guessed it all had been some nightmare but much to your shock and horror, you found yourself in that exact same landscape, on some caramel-colored expanse that stretched into the horizon wherever you looked and this ground felt like warm dough with hints of humidity. The air carried a hint of saltiness to it that once more got you wondering if you were near the sea somehow.
Feeling a bit better but not too much, you stood up with some difficulty and turned around, seeing the same deep abyss that you had almost fallen into twice already. You took a deep breath and started walking in a straight line in the opposite direction. Whatever you found on this nonsensical landscape had to be better than that dark chasm. You remembered the odd watery masses that appeared at random and wondered: If the weather was this strange, what the hell kind of plans of animals would live in such an environment? Though so far, it had been completely barren save for yourself.
Not too long after you started walking, there was an incredibly loud noise, like a volcanic eruption, though it had more of a reverberating roar to it, like thunder in a way. The ground beneath your feet and all around you wobbled and rippled visibly while the powerful soundwaves blasted through your body, rattling your bones. That sudden explosion knocked you off your feet and the rippling and jiggling 'ground' flung you away... but where?
