You looked at yourself in the mirror once more. You were a cute girl and looked great in your uniform, which you already knew since the first day you saw yourself. However something within you kept saying you were missing something, and without that something your date with Hotaru would go horribly, something you definitely didn't want to happen.
For one, she was now a cool robot, a cute one too in fact. And her fascination with her own workings seemed like it could lead to a lot of fun with her. Although being a robot clearly had its own downsides, a fact made clear by her reaction to her mistake and her history with the DRR. While her issues with the organization seemed stressful and a little confusing, it made you want to help and protect her however you could.
And seeing such a woman in danger. She might be…unhinged so to say, but the thought of her being dismantled or punished some other way for that seemed far too excessive. From the time you’ve spent with her today, you could see she was extremely determined and fun loving, but you could also tell she wanted someone who could understand what she was going through. While you could provide little in the way of understanding, you could at least offer empathy.
Maybe that's why you felt so anxious. Flopping your chance with this woman would lose you the girlfriend of the century. You didn't feel this anxious about Hotaru when she was just a video game character. Hell, she was probably still a video game character technically. But seeing her in person made her seem more... real to you. It was strange. Just thinking about her now made you warm up, and not in the dirty way like before.
Anyway, back to preparing for your date...
