You decide to plug Hotaru bag in, allowing her to charge to full. Luckily she fell back a little bit when she shut down, allowing you to just plug her in her cord.
After a few seconds, Hotaru once again made the start up noise and activated again. "1%. Wait," Hotaru looked around, recalling what had happened. "T-Tihi," she said embarrassed. "I uh...forgot I was still plugged in." She turned around and stood closer to the wall to avoid repeating the accident.
"Does that happen a lot?" you asked.
"Wha- No, no. N-not often anyway," Hotaru said. Her cheeks were metal now, but if they were flesh, you thought that she would be blushing given her body language and how embarrassed her face was. "It's just...I have a lot on my mind."
"Like what?" you ask.
"You know, stuff," Hotaru answers unhelpfully.
"What kind of 'stuff'?" you ask, rolling your eyes.
"...robot stuff. You wouldn't understand, being a human and all."
"Like tearing off your arm and tinkering it?" you said, playfully referring to severed the metal limb still on the workbench.
"No! I detached it and tinkered with it. I don't 'tear' anything off of me. Like I said, robot stuff you wouldn't understand," Hotaru said, sounding extra accomplished.
You giggled at the remark. "Alright, alright. Fair enough. But seriously though, you should be more careful. You can't rely on strangers coming in and plugging you in for you." You were actually worried for her. You couldn't form your harem if she constantly forgot to charge herself.
"Yeah yeah, I know," she said as if hearing it all before. "What's your name anyway?"
"Oh, I'm Shujiko Kou," you said. You realized you hadn't properly introduced yourself to her yet.
"Tihi! Man, humans always have such silly names. I'm H-0T4RU, but you can call me Hotaru if that's easier."
"Hotaru. It's good to meet you," you said.
