You have always wondered why isekai anime always chooses variations of tolkein fantasy. Well, not really. You knew that Tolkien fantasy was the the basic blueprint of all fantasy and anime has a nasty habit of copying itself over and over. So unique isekai worlds are very rare. Even rarer are isekai that don't take place in a fantasy world. Why not experiment with the settings and maybe go somewhere else? Like the future. That's something you've always wondered about. So you wish to be isekaied into a science fiction world with space travel, advanced tech, aliens, and all the other tropes.
And that's exactly where you wake up in. You sit up not in a bed, but some sort of pod. You look around and see a very minimalistic yet very futuristic room. You look out the window and see the night sky. Except it isn't the night sky, it's space. As indicated by the fact you could see the Earth itself and numerous space ships flying all around. You seem to be in some kind of space station. You see a floating neon sign that reads "Space School Academy". It appears the school is now a space academy in space. You see a holographic map of charted space too. Almost all of it seems to be under the control of a political entity called the United Galactic Federation, which Earth is the center of. You gain some memories of the world and remember that it was formed by the peaceful unification of over a dozen interstellar nations. You can't recall, however, how or why they united in the first place. But whatever, you don't care about lore. You just want a spicier harem visual novel.
This is really exciting for you. You decide to get dressed immediately to got out and see everything. Your closet is full of white and blue jumpsuits that each have a name tag that says:
