"While it is true that I don't have much in the way of friends, I have managed to connect with two lovely ladies since moving here. And they'd love to meet a tiny. They've each wanted to have one of their own." At the sound of that, you immediately began to tense off: however much you may care for Abigail, you still don't trust norms writ large, especially if they talk about owning tinies like you.
Abigail must have sensed your concern, because she immediately added, "Oh don't worry, dear. They're like me; they wouldn't harm a fly, let alone a cute little button like you. I only ask because I just remembered that they're coming over for dinner tonight. I can hide you somewhere safe if you don't want them to know you until they leave. But I think you'd love them if you saw 'em. So, what do you say?"
