The shimmering portal that had once showed the vista of a city changed to that of a bright and beautiful sandy beach stretching along an alien coastline.
Over a couple of thousand people were gathered at the beach playing in the sand, laying in beach chairs or out on carefully rolled out towels or mats soaking in the sun, gleefully swimming in the water, or searching the coastline for washed-up seashells.

They were blissfully unaware of any other worlds out there, or the chaos that was about to arrive.

In a fraction of an instant, before the people on the beach had any time to react, a huge boom reverberated across the water, causing many of them to suddenly sit up and pay attention to an area over the water. Immediately after that, a loud, low-frequency buzzing filled the air, pulsing to a steady beat like the earth itself had decided to throw a rave party.

Fearing an earthquake or some kind of tsunami, most of the beachgoers hightailed it out of there and began running away from the disturbance and toward safety, either toward their cars or toward one of the buildings lying out on the fringe.

Some brave (or stupid) souls chose to stay behind and began documenting the event with their phones or recording equipment they had on hand. Something big was about to go down and they wanted the whole world to see it.
They didn't have long to wait, as the air around a certain stretch of the ocean began to ripple and shimmer while also glowing in a bluish tint that slowly began to build in intensity.

For a time, nothing seemed to happen. Other than the Then massive purple foot passed through the portal, impacting the ground and sending a huge plume of sand high up into the air. When its sister emerged, all those who were
watching nearby in a mile radius (even those inside the relatively safe buildings) went into full-blown panic mode and began moving far inland, trying to get as far away from the beach as they could.

They didn't see the owner of the sneakers fully emerge, nor did they see the five other multicolored titans emerge behind her, or they might've ended up being scared out of their wits.

The purple creature turned on her heel to face her bikini-clad friends, who were by themselves massively deforming the sandy landscape on which they stood, and began to address them.

"Huh, I really thought there would be more humans around here to greet us, I guess I was mistaken."

"Well, from the looks of things our size must be too intimidating for them. Princess Celestia did say that some of them might be afraid of us, at first. If we give them some time they might be more willing to come to us," said Fluttershy, who's hair was steady flapping in the strong salty wind..

Rarity meanwhile clasped her hands together and gave Twilight a pointed look. "I think that if we were to split up and fan out, then we would be sure to find some who are hiding nearby. I for one would hate for the poor darlings to see us as some kind of monsters. Perhaps there's some way we can convince them that we're friends?"

Twilight beamed at her friend's suggestions and quickly nodded. "Agreed, although I'm not so sure if we should split up, just yet. This world is strange and new, and we have no idea what it holds in store for us. It might be a good idea to err to the side of caution, just in case."
