Realizing what her choices were, Veronica sighs in defeat before giving you one last look and hands you over, despite her reluctance. However, Jen makes no move to this and as the longer it takes, the more awkward it feels before Jen pushes you back to Veronica.
"As much as I hate to admit this, you fought hard for Blaise's sake and I can't take him with me after seeing that," Jen said, pointing towards Celeste and Veronica manages to suppress a smirk.
"However, I don't trust you, so after class, whenever we can, we'll meet up and discuss more on what to do with Blaise and meet up at my place. Understood?" Jen growls, Veronica nodding quickly.
"You better keep him safe!" Jen warns her before heading back to class and just before the door, she stops.
"Thanks for saving him," Jen adds in before entering the room.
You knew about her protectiveness, but you were really surprised at this turn of events and Veronica was the same as she blows out the winds of relief from both ends.
