"Alright!"

Rarity was speaking so quickly that her face kept wobbling after she shut herself up. Jack himself couldn't immediately speak after interrupting her; he'd silenced a pony who was actually apologizing to a human, something he'd immediately put at the bottom of his list of all the things he'd be prepared for when he vowed to hunt down the truth on Equestria's history.

Certain that Rarity was going to listen, he breathed out, eyes closing as he scratched at his brow. "The point is, you're just apologizing for what happened this morning. Right?"

"Well, yes, I suppose..." Rarity answered uncomfortably, uneased by the situation herself.

"Then, if that's the case, I forgive you." He continued, only a little bit more comfortable with her. "In fact, I'm sorry, too, for snapping at you before."

"I forgive you, too, then."

With all said and done, the two just sat across from one another the room, the only sound being the footsteps or laughter from students wasting time in their own rooms. Jack only stood straight and still, while Rarity eventually looked to the ceiling, patting her hands along her belly.

"Well, I guess I'll see myself out." Rarity announced, the fragments of Jack's bed peeling off and falling from her behind as she pushed herself back up, face furrowed up from the stress as she slowly came straight up before letting out a held breath, cheeks puffing out. Only then did she seem to realize the property damage she'd committed and glanced behind her in panic, only able to see a tiny fragment of the bed frame over her burgeoning tush. "Oh, no! I'm so-"

"I-It's fine, alright?" Jack answered curtly, but not out of anger. Just desperation to be alone again. "I'll sleep on the futon tonight."

Rarity looked just as eager to leave and hurried out, the floorboards screeching even louder as she scurried through the room faster than when she'd entered. She only hesitated before stepping through the gaping hole hollowed out of where the doorframe once stood, sparing one last panicked look at everything she'd destroyed and sidestepped through, her pronounced gut wedging her in the gap before she clenched her face and gave one more mighty push, popping loose.

A few seconds after Rarity'd disappeared from the hole, Jack ran over and leaned over the torn edge, watching as Rarity hurried down to her own room, desperate not to be seen. After Rarity was gone for good, he pulled himself back in and leaned against the wall, rubbing his eyes with the base of his palms.

"...I knew I should've studied in Griffonstone."
