The mystery of why Ai's bust had grown more than the other girls you'd spoken too was a true riddle for the ages. And seeing as a good chunk of the day passed by in relative quietness, you were left to contemplate that mystery on your own.
School was actually kind of boring when you didn't have one of the girls to talk to. The only bright side here was that you were a much better student than the original Shujin had been; so the coursework and lessons were pretty easy.
Doodling in your notebook as you killed some time during your current class (which you noted none of the heroines were present for,) you thought over the riddle gripping your mind. Oh, and you also noted that a few seats were empty. Maybe those were for some of the heroines? Something like, you couldn't share class with them till you'd completed their 'introductory event?' A guy could hope...
Moving on, you went back to more important matters; the bust growth of the heroines.
Kiyoko had grown 1 full cup-size, maybe two full sizes during your conversation with her, and that was a lot because she hadn't exactly been small to begin with!
Ava and Hotaru had each grown one full cup-size by your estimation.
But Ai Sakaguchi?
She'd gained... well, you weren't actually sure how much bulk to her bust she'd gained. What with her wearing a sports bra rather than a normal bra, it meant that you didn't know what her actual size was.
But the very fact that she'd grown enough to visibly stretch out her sports bra was saying something! Knowing her, the sporty undergarment was likely very sturdy given how (frankly unbelievably) athletic the girl was.
But one thing was for sure; Ai had grown more than all the other girls so far, and if there was a secret reason to it... you needed to know why!
Fortunately for you, the bell rang just then, signalling the end of the class period. You had a bit of a break before your next class period, and you could see the girl's soccer team (including Ai) practicing out on the field. It took a few minutes to get down to the field, but you knew it would be worth it.
Ai was, as usual (and expected) utterly dominating! Even with her swollen breasts, she didn't seem to be slowed down in the slightest.
'Has she not even noticed the change yet?'
(((I don't think she has, Shujin. But then to be fair, Ai's default model from the game never showed her out of her gym uniform. While real life and the game are obviously two very different things, in this case it likely means that she simply never bothered to change back into her regular uniform.)))
That made sense to you, though you still wondered why Ai hadn't picked up on the fact that her sports bra must've been much tighter. Or maybe she was just so physically tough that she honestly didn't notice? The girl was practically superhuman when it came to the physical side of things...
Though now you couldn't get the mental image of Ai in a regular uniform out of your head...
Heh heh...
You could just imagine the way her tall, toned body filled out the girls' uniform of your school, the dangerously short skirt swishing about her thunder thighs, exposing a tantalizing amount of flesh... the buttons of her shirt being stretched to near breaking, thanks to her engorged breasts no longer being restrained by her powerful sports bra...
Whoo, that was one heck of an image!

Oh right, you were here to get answers.
'Narrator, is there a reason why Ai grew more than the other girls?'

So the Narrator was no help. That left you to put on your thinking cap. Watching the soccer field, you saw Ai fly by and kick the ball across the field, the goalie on the opposing team diving out of the speeding projectile's trajectory rather than try and stop it.
You also noted that Ai's team weren't playing other girls, but rather a team made up of boys from your school. But then, it didn't really matter who Ai's team was playing. Ai was the great equalizer- no one could stand up to her on the field!
Of course, in addition to eyes moves on the field, you were also paying attention to the way something else was moving...
Ai's chest looked bigger, even from pretty far away, which meant up close... yep, there was proof. At least a couple guys were doing even worse than normal against Ei, as their eyes were focused on her bigger bust rather than on the ball or her footwork. Looking back up the field, you could even see that a few girls from her team had noticed Ai's 'unexplained' change, staring at her with naked jealousy on their faces.
'So Ai hasn't noticed, but other people have...'
You also recalled from earlier in the day when the Narrator had explained to you that the only time a heroine wouldn't notice her bust growing was right when said growth was actually taking place. Any other time was fair game. That meant that honestly it was probably dumb luck that Ai hadn't noticed anything different about herself even now, several hours after you'd spoken to her.
'Huh, I wonder if Ava, Kiyoko, and Hotaru have noticed anything different.' Of those three, Kiyoko had grown the most, and you were kind of curious to know what the harem-enthusiast's reaction to such a 'an ecchi romcom cliche' happening to her would be.
As for Hotaru, you couldn't say what her reaction would be. The tinkerer tomboy generally seemed pretty at ease with her looks, while Ava might believe she'd been cursed (or blessed) by a cow demon spirit or something.
But all of these thoughts aside... Your train of thought was interrupted as Ai jumped high in the air (higher than what would've ever been possible for someone like you,) her bust wobbling slightly even with her sports bra squishing her chest.
You were still at square one of your grand riddle. Why had Ai grown more (both in volume AND in the number of times she'd grown) compared to the other girls.
'Hmm... could the growth have something to do with the number of choices from the game? The ones that these meetings are based off of?' That was somewhat plausible; you'd noted that each of your 4 meetings today was mostly a pretty accurate recreation of each heroine's intro scene from the visual novel. Some of the scenes were longer than others, or simply put... had more choices and dialogue options than others.
Was that it then? Had Ai grown more than the other heroines simply because you'd 'picked the correct option' more times with her than the others?
'Mmm... I'm not sure if that's it. It seems like too simple of an answer.'
Maybe the reason lay elsewhere? Like... with each girl's personality or mood? That was one line of thinking. Maybe if a heroine was happier when you spoke to her, she'd experience a larger amount of growth from each affection increase. And vice-versa, if you spoke to someone in a bad mood, the amount of growth from each affection increase wouldn't be nearly as much?
There was some credibility to that theory, but nothing concrete. Kiyoko had been in a pretty good mood when you'd spoken to her, but then so had Hotaru... though you'd actually changed Hotaru's intro scene a bit- instead of her drone breaking and then her meeting you for the first time, you'd gotten off to a much better start with her by preventing the drone from breaking in the first place!
In contrast to those too, your conversation with Ava had been much more lukewarm.
And then there was Ai, who had grown the most by a noticeable margin, and you'd been practically singing her praises during your dialogue with her!
Voicing your thoughts to the Narrator, he chuckled out a response.
(((Hah hah... you know what that means, Shujin: you'd better, *ahem* test out your hypothesis extensively!)))
Hey, that sounded fine to you. You'd never say know to getting to talk to the lovely ladies of Harem Protagonist!
Where did that leave you for the day? If the 'pattern' the events your were following stayed the same, that meant that you'd play out each introductory event with the heroines of Harem Protagonist before more options became available.
On one hand, that was kind of disappointing- Izumi's intro event was glorious... but it also only happened in the morning before school, which meant that you wouldn't be seeing her till tomorrow morning... assuming the event didn't change drastically.
You didn't really remember what Satomi's intro was, but it was probably possible to encounter her or Ayano this afternoon. Jouko was probably a case like Izumi; you were pretty sure her intro event would happen before school.
Also, there was the matter of how tired you were! You hadn't been paying attention to it earlier, but you felt pretty drained right now, but in a good way. Like you'd just gotten done exercising a bunch. It helped that you'd had a few hours to recover after your last 'in-game event.'
You'd almost forgotten about that limitaiton- you were limited to two to three events per day at the moment, and you'd done two already! You weren't completely wiped out yet, but you were definitely heading straight home once school ended.
Another thought popped into your head; the Narrator had been clear that whatever magic rule existed because of the wishstone, the heroine wouldn't notice herself growing until after it had already occurred... but not if the growth was too drastic!
That was actually kind of worrisome; how would someone as fiery as Izumi react if her shirt popped open right in front of you?
...Though you wouldn't lie, you actually wanted to see something like that happen...
'Ugh, man, I'm beat... and there's still a few periods left in school... makes me wish there was a fast-forward option here...' You grumble, though at least you still have the nice sight of Ai thrashing the boy's team in front of you.
Hopefully the rest of the day passed quickly...
