Trying something new here. For the record, this chapter (and what follows) takes place two weeks after the chapter 'Ending the Day.' It won't be 1:1 accurate, as this doesn't account for any additional perks/titles gained in that route, but this chapter and those following will reference events that I have planned for the 'main' esper storyline.


Life was good.

That was the number one thought on your mind as you walked home after another day of your new life. Two weeks in and you were loving every second of it! You were Shujin Kou, the Harem Protagonist, and life couldn't be better!

It wasn't quite 5:00 PM, and you were coming back from Pandora's on-campus library after another study session with Ruu and Satomi. In the two weeks that had passed since you'd first 'transferred' to Japan's primary location for espers, you'd learned quite a bit about the world around you, and how different it was compared to the one you'd left.

But more importantly than that... you'd met so many babes! You gained a few levels- you were now level 13. Going up 5 levels in two weeks might not have sounded like a lot, but then you hadn't had any life-or-death struggles since the 'battle' between Haruko and Jouko two weeks prior. It had been pretty smooth sailing for the last two weeks.

You'd leveled up your Esper trait as well- going was slow, as with each progressive rank it took longer to level up. But the important thing was that you were no longer in possession of a shitty, trash-tier ability!

Heh, it still made you chuckle. Right now your esper level was DD.

Surprisingly, your size-changing power hadn't gone up too much. You'd gone from being able to make instant changes of 1-4cm to 1-6cm. Though more importantly, once you'd gotten into the D-tier you'd unlocked an entirely new ability!

Delayed Growth: Target heroine/heroine's attributes grow by 6-12cm over the course of that many days (1cm per day.)

One; it was twice as powerful as your normal 'instant growth' ability, two... it was the perfect way to make someone grow without you getting busted by them!

Not only that, you'd only just unlocked it, and at it's default level it was twice as powerful as your standard growth ability!

And of course, there was your shrinking power. It had changed a fair amount- instead of just shrinking down to a single inch, you could now shrink down to anywhere from 1, 2, or 3 inches... or 1, 2, or 3 feet. Those were exact measurements, by the way. You had to stop at a an inch or foot on the dot. And this self-shrinking ability lasted for 10 minutes, rather than just a couple.

You'd tried practicing with it in private a few times, to try and get used to seeing the world from such a different perspective. It was disorienting, but you were trying your best to get used to it. There was SO MUCH potential for this ability!

That just about accounted for your personal growth over the last two weeks. You'd met more heroines- Izumi was every bit as gorgeous (and huge-busted) as she was in the game, and the 2.5d model hadn't done justice to the full 3d person. You'd met a girl with even bigger boobs than Izumi, and that had been something you'd frankly thought was impossible. Souko... you couldn't remember her last name without looking it up. It was pretty wordy. She was quiet and a little weird, but nice enough. Sadly, you hadn't seen her or Izumi much at all in the last two weeks, though that shouldn't have come as a surprise. Pandora (the name of the Esper school) was practically like it's own city-state (hell, you'd learned that the town you lived in was also called Pandora, which couldn't have been a coincidence.)

Either way, the school was massive and it wasn't that surprising that you there were some people you just didn't see too often. You'd mostly stuck with your club in the last two weeks. Anime world or not, you were still new here and making friends first and then branching out later seemed like a better decision than endlessly meeting new heroines...

In other words, make friends first, meet new heroines second.

Your reputation score with each heroine had gone up nicely as well, with Haruko being your lowest score so far, and you were 'neutral-liked' with her. Everyone else was 'liked,' except for Satomi and Ruu, your club-mates.

Ruu Kurokiya: Friend (you're a pretty chill guy, though she wishes you were easier to tease. Still, she's very grateful to you helping her with her studies, and you're a fun guy to hang out with.

Yeah, that's right- you had actual girlfriends already!

The narrator's unamused cough grabbed your attention, just as you were finishing your walk home. Pausing in front of the gate to the apartment complex where you lived, you responded to him.

'I know, I know. Can't fault a guy for imagining though.'

(((Trust me, Shujin. There's a big difference between a 'girlfriend' and a 'friend who is a girl.' I know you're joking around, but that's seriously a mistake you don't want to be making in the future. But... seriously, good job. You've gotten a lot further in two weeks than I thought you would've.)))

'Thanks, narrator. I'll admit... I wasn't sure what I was expecting when I got transported here, but... I'm really enjoying life here!'

(((Good to hear. And hey, now that the prologue is done, the actual story can start picking up!)))

'Wait, what? Prologue? What do you mean?'

'The golden ending thing? Something about unlocking hidden scenes and heroines?'

A hidden event? Or a new heroine (who wouldn't normally show up?) What was happening? Looking around, you see...


1) A dark-haired girl struggling with some boxes across the street from you. You can't make out too many features, she has her back-turned, but it looks like she's moving into one of the small houses across the street from your apartment complex.
2) One of your apartment's windows is broken! Did someone break in?!
3) Turning around at the exact wrong second... you collide with a woman who was coming down the sidewalk behind you!
