The rest of the afternoon passed by lazily, you, Ruu, and Satomi continuing to study (or attempting to, at least.) The frustrated grumbles from Ruu and the frown on Satomi's face at the end of the day told you that things might not have gone quite the way they would've liked in their studies.
At least you were confident in your own studying. Base game Shujin had been... you couldn't actually remember. He definitely wasn't an A-grade student, but you were pretty sure he hadn't been in danger of flunking out either.
You were better than that, though. Your notes were surprisingly neat and thorough, and considering the fact that you only had about half the schoolwork that most of the students at this school had, you were reasonably confident that you could nail a B+ average, maybe even get low A's routinely.

"Yup! We actually have homeroom together, Shujin, so I'll see your first thing in the morning!"
"And I'll see you two after homeroom." Satomi said, sighing as she stood up from her desk. The huge girl stretched mightily, and your eyebrows rose at the sight of just how much space she took up with her arms outstretched.
Satomi left the class without another word. Strange. You hoped you hadn't done something to annoy her...
Ruu had evidently seen the look on your face, and spoke up.
"Don't worry about it, Shujin. Satomi's just a little frustrated because she's been having a hard time raising her grades. She's probably going back to her dorm to study on her own."

"Well, I wouldn't say that things are going terribly... but, uh... neither of us are doing that well, to be honest. We're trying to study together, but... she mostly gets C's... and I'm lucky if I score that high."
Ouch, that sucked to hear. You vaguely remembered something from the game about Satomi not scoring very high in certain classes, but had it been the case that all her classes were like that? The dark-skinned gal sighed and brushed her hair, running her hand along the open, rectangular hair-clips placed on the flowing blonde locks on the left side of her head.
"We're doing what we can, but it is a little worrying. It'd be nice to give mom a reason to stop worrying about my grades."
"Maybe we can study together tomorrow? Or later this week? I might be new at this school, but I'm... well, I'm no A-student, but I can get B's easily enough."
