“So… if e equals R, then the rerivative is R over 4 e?” Ai asked confused.

“What? No no, R and e are unrelated to that,” Hotaru explained. “All you need to do is move the exponent to where it can multiply against the fyponent and half the exponent. That’s how you get the rerivative. Got it?”

“Uh… yeah! The way you explained it made it easier to get. Man, math’s so confusing sometimes.”

“It’s not really confusing if you remember it’s all logic and rules. Just need to figure them out,” Hotaru advised.

“Hey Ai?” Izumi said. “Did the Zehm Empire join the Federation in 2478 or 2479?”

“Uh, neither,” Ai answered. “You’re thinking of when the Federation-Zehm war started, which was 2478. They joined the Federation in 2502. It is easy to remember if you keep in mind the war ended twenty years earlier, in 2482.”

“Right, right. Uhg, why is history so annoying to learn?”

“Annoying? History is the stories that made us who we are today. It’s about how everything we believe in came to be and how our world took form. There’s truly no tale more epic than those of our ancestor.”

“Easy to say when your ancestors took over most of the galaxy,” the alien girl mumbled.

“Hey Izumi?” Hotaru asked. “This question is asking what the author meant with the line ‘it was the best of times and the worst of times,’ but I don’t get it. Can you help me with it?”

“Sure, that one's not too hard,” Izumi said confidently. “You see, the author was a big fan of ancient literature, a trait she self-inserted on Ula, the character who said the line. It’s meant to imply the declining state of writing which also symbolizes the end of their society in the book because they stopped creating media.”

“Dang, really. Why can’t writers just say things matter of factly? Why hide it all in ‘metaphors’ and stuff?”

“Because that wouldn’t make the reader think AND would make the story more boring. It helps to make the story more interesting to read.”

“Hmm. I would still like it if human stories were more literal.”

Each of the three girls all complemented each other's weaknesses with their strengths, making them perfect for a group study date. Especially for you, since you were from the 21st century, you’re 500 years behind the curriculum and need as much catch up as possible. But luckily these three made it more bearable.

“Are you sure this is fair?” Izumi asked you.

“Trust me, she still has an advantage over us,” you told her.

You all agreed to play a football game with Ai today after classes, but you only agreed on the condition that she play against you, Izumi, and Hotaru in one team.

“Are you girls ready to start?” Ai asked. She was eager to take on the challenge you set up for her.

“Ready,” you and your teammates said.

The game started, and it only took 10 minutes for Ai to score 18 goals over you and your team, with a big fat zero on your side. And Ai didn’t even have any special prosthetics on, she was wearing her casual limbs again.

Ai, of course, had hardly broken a sweat. You however were exhausted, your out dainty, little, out-of-shape body was unable to keep up with Ai. Izumi was in much better shape than you were, but the massive weights on her chest slowed her down and made it harder for her to catch her breath. Hotaru explained that she couldn’t get tired as a robot, but the intense game put too much stress on her body, more than she ever modified it to take. In addition to stressing her joints, her body had started overheating due to her activity, forcing her cooling system to intensify, which led to more power consumption, meaning she was now just as slowed down as you and Izumi’s exhausted bodies.

“How the heck is she like this? Are you sure she’s human?” Hotaru asked you.

“Yeah… But she’s Ai… This is what she’s like,” you said between breaths.

“How did you ever score… a single goal on her?” Izumi said, too tired to care about you staring at her sweaty breasts heaving with her breathing.

“You guys need a time out? Get some water, catch your breaths?” Ai asked considerately.

“Uh, I don't breathe, actually,” Hotaru said.

“Yes, actually!” you got up and dragged your two teammates to where you could talk. After a large gulp of water. “Okay, so any ideas? We obviously can’t beat her, but one goal would be nice.”

“I think I have a plan,” Hotaru said. “Shujiko, you and I will focus on getting the ball. If she gets it first, then you focus on pursuing her while I try to calculate her path to where I can intercept her. Although I’m not sure how either of us can keep it.”

“I think I can cover you in that regard. I know how to knock her out of focus,” you offer.

“I see. Then you focus on that and I’ll focus on the goal.”

“What about me?” Izumi asked.

“Your body has the most mass and volume out of us, so you protect the goal,” Hotaru logically pointed out.

“Wait, what do you mean by-”

“You guys finished?!” Ai yelled from the field.

“Yeah!” You and Hotaru yelled in sync before running into position. Izumi shrugged her shoulders and got in front of the goal as planned.

The final match started and, as expected, Ai got the ball first and made her way to the goal. You were in hot pursuit, keeping Ai’s attention partially behind her, giving Hotaru the window she needed to intercept.

However, Ai noticed it just in time, but right before she could respond to the robot in front of her- “Ai! You look really gorgeous when you work hard!”

“W-Wha?!” As Ai stammered, Hotaru slid between her long legs, kicking the ball behind her. The robot tomboy ran towards the other side of the field. “Gah! Saboteurs!” Ai made chase, and quickly gained distance.

You ran for them too, but Ai was outpacing both you and Hotaru. You needed to act fast. “Ai! You look really pretty from this angle!”

But instead of responding to you, Ai leaped forward, such a distance that she landed right in front of Hotaru. As the robot tomboy was calculating how a mere human could do such a feat, Ai stole the ball from her and sidestepped around her.

Damn it, you thought. Hotaru definitely wasn’t going to catch up with her in time, so you stood in between Ai and the goal. But to your shock (but not to your surprise) she kicked the ball straight into the air and jumped after it, doing a cyclone kick that launched it to your team’s goal.

Izumi had watched the quick match from a distance and now it was up to her to stop its abrupt end. But the ball wasn’t heading straight in any direction, rather zigzagging and spirling everything, but still keeping a path that would result in it entering the goal. But Izumi couldn’t predict where she had to block it. Out of panic, she shut her eyes and leaped, hoping for her random decision was the right one.

Then she felt a boinging in her chest. She opened her eyes to see what it was. Did she block the ball? Izumi blushed as she saw that not only did she block it, but the ball had inserted itself in the perfect position between her four breasts to where it was stuck in them. SHe looked to her team and opponent, who were all staring at her with different reactions on her face.

“S-Stop staring you perverts!” As she yelled, she threw her arms down in anger, but the displacement of her breasts allowed for this once natural movement for her to have an extra effect. Her arms squashed her breasts at such a speed and with such power that it caused the ball to shoot off of her chest, heading to the other side of the field.

Ai could tell where it was heading and tried to intercept, but you were still right by her. You leaped in front of her legs, causing her to trip over your relatively smaller body. Ai could only look up at the ball as it flew over her. But to her relief, it was slightly off course, it would only go out of bounds.

That would’ve happened if it weren’t for the robot, whose brain was pretty much a complex calculator, who instantly calculated the trajectory of the ball right as Izumi applied pressure to her breasts. She raised her leg. While she was too far to hit the ball normally, she had been working on a side project that would prove its usefulness here. She activated the command and immediately her leg launched forward towards the ball, just in time to graze it just enough to make it turn to the left, just enough for the ball to land in the goal.

“GOAL!!” you and Hotaru yelled. Hotaru retracted her leg to its place and you got up so you could both run and hug Izumi.

“You did it!”

“You got it, Izumi.”

“W-wait,” Imuzi protested against your praises. “But that was-”

“That was quite the strategy,” Ai said, impressed. “I’ve never seen such a move in the field. Although now that I‘ve seen it, don’t think I won’t be prepared for it next time. You truly are a formidable foe though, Izumi.”

The alien girl sighed and let her embarrassment subside to let the other three have their fun for the moment. She did manage to score a goal on Ai, after all.
