First day in the cooking club (PART THREE)
Harem Protagonist: CHYOA
Chapter 22
All three of you were temporarily frozen- Ruu in mortification, Satomi in disbelief, and you... well, you weren't going to say anything until the other two did. It was best to feign ignorance here.
And it was pretty great getting an eyeful of Ruu's ample breasts covered by that flashy leopard skin pattern bra. You were a healthy male and you liked what you saw.
It was also pretty funny seeing the look on Ruu's face. For how aggressive her teasing had been earlier, she clearly had limits. Limits that had definitely been passed, judging by how beat red her face was. You had a few more seconds of uninterrupted bra-flashing from the busty girl before her brain finished rebooting, and she squealed and scooted back from her the table you three were at.
Oh, right. You should probably fix her shirt's size, if for no other reason than it would make this look more like an accident.
<<+3>>
That should do it, Ruu's shirt should look like it fit... well, at least it would stay closed. Leaving it just a tad smaller than it's original size would give you a better peek at her bra too.
Ruu fiddled with her buttons for the next several seconds, doing them back up in a hurry to try and undo the wardrobe malfunction she'd just experienced. Even when taking her large breasts into consideration, the missing centimeter wasn't enough to prevent her from closing her shirt... Given that she normally went around displaying a ton of skin anyway, the missing centimeter translated to a bit more of her bra being exposed, leaving nearly all of the lacy rims of the large cups sticking out over the edges of her shirt, though at least the actual cups still remained hidden.
Ruu's face remained bright red, and you could see some nervous sweat on her forehead now that she'd repaired the damage you'd done without her knowing.
"Snrk..."
An unladylike snort to your side caught your attention. Satomi was shaking with mirth, laughter following her snort.
"Oh, Ruu! I can't believe that actually happened! Though you have to admit, with how lowcut the shirts you usually wear are, it's a miracle that you haven't had any accidents like that before!"
"Satomi! It's not funny! I swear, all I did was lean over the table, and then *bwam*! My boobs popped right out of my shirt!"
"Well, maybe you should consider buttoning up more?"
"I've told you, this is my style! I'm not gonna change it!"
Ruu's embarrassment was quickly dying down, and it was interesting to see her playing the defensive role for once. It was also a relief that Satomi had taken the event in stride, even finding the whole thing to be just plain funny.
That cemented it, Satomi was as nice a girl as the base game had suggested, and while Ruu was a tease she was a well-meaning one.
"Well, in any case, I'm sorry you had to see that Shujin. I swear, this dummy here is normally more careful than that." Satomi said with a sigh, rubbing the back of her head.
"It's no big deal. It was, uh... quite a sight."
"I'll bet it was..."
"Oh, be nice, Ruu. You spilling out of your shirt was bound to happen sooner or later. Just be clad it happened in private. Anyways, lunch is done and we should probably get on with our coursework."
And she was right, with the fun and excitement done it was time to get back to the regular school stuff. As the two girls had briefly described earlier, being in the cooking club might lessened the amount of normal school classes you had to take, but didn't replace all of them. There were a few classes that you still had to take to pass various national regulations, stuff like math, English, and one or two science-based classes.
You had notes for some classes in your backpack- things like English, Math, and Chemistry- but you had no memory of actually taking any of them. Which made sense, given that you'd been transplanted into this world yesterday. You figured it probably wasn't worth the headache trying to figure out how you had complete class notes for those classes despite not having existed in this world until yesterday. Well, this version of you, anyway.
"So, is there anything else to do today?"
"No, it'll be pretty quiet. Mostly self-study. Like I said earlier, the faculty is mostly redoing lesson plans for the coming month, so today is mostly a free day for the students. It'll be pretty quiet. I guess that takes care of your introduction to the cooking club. I hope you decide to stay!"
Well, you'd hate to disappoint Satomi. Not that it'd be easy to- you had no plans on leaving the cooking club. Both her and Ruu seemed like nice people. Plus the cooking club itself sounded like it'd be an easier path to take at school than pretty much any other. Just a few basic classes, and you got to spend the time cooking and hanging out with two pretty girls most of the day? Why the hell wouldn't you want to spend your school days like that?
The three of you broke out into self study, Ruu staying seated on the couch in the back of the clubroom as she flipped through a textbook. Satomi and you each took a seat at different desks in the clubroom.
The sound of a crowd cheering in your head startled you, and you looked around wildly before realizing that the sound had been entirely in your head. Fortunately, neither Ruu or Satomi saw your little burst of excitement.
(((Congrats, Shujin! You successfully joined a club! Not a bad choice, either!)))
'Thanks, Narrator. What happens now?'
(((Uh, you just go about the day? I've said it over and over, but this is real life, Shujin. You can't just pick and choose scenes from a game's menu. You have to encounter them as they come. Which means that most of your day will probably be spent just living life normally.)))
'I was kind of hoping there'd be a fast forward button or something, but that makes sense. I guess if I just skipped through life moving from one scene to the next, I'd miss out on a lot of stuff.'
(((That's a good way of looking at things, Shujin. Think of it this way- all the little things between the scenes might not be exciting, but they sure are important. And don't forget- just talking to a girl doesn't automatically make that a scene or game event. Sure, there'll be plenty of scenes that are just you doing a normal activity, like walking in the park, or going to the arcade, but you can't expect every time you go to the park or the arcade to be a scene, even if you're still meeting or talking with girls at those places. And don't forget- this esperverse is fundamentally different from the base game. You can have plenty of fun using or training your power even if it's not in a scene. It'd be pretty lame to set a rule saying you could only use that during a game scene.)))
In other words, the little parts of life, like studying your notes, reading the textbook, doing homework, etc... You still had to do all of those things normally. Sure, you might have a scene that was a study date with a girl every now and then, or something mundane like walking to school could be turned into an exciting event like your run-in with Jouko this morning, but you couldn't expect every single time you walked to school or did homework to be something like that.
'So, no level up? Or was this not a scene?'
(((Not technically. Most of the time, being introduced to a new heroine would automatically count as a scene, but the whole 'joining a club' thing supersedes that. No level up this time, but you have actually unlocked a couple of perks.)))
'Wait, what? Perks?'
(((Yeah, didn't you hear the fanfare? That sound meant you got an achievement. Well, you actually got two of them- one for successfully joining a club (more of a freebie, if you ask me) and the other for meeting five heroines on your first day. Congrats, not everybody gets that one.)))
That was pretty cool. Considering that in the base game, it was only possible to meet a maximum of three heroines on the first day, you going over that was probably a big accomplishment. Which, in game lingo hopefully meant that you'd get a perk you couldn't otherwise get...
'So, what do I get?'
(((That's the big question. Let's see... Ooh, nice! And hey, your stat screen has become more streamlined. All you have to do is think about looking at one particular view, like 'heroines' or 'perks' or 'stats' and it'll show only information for that, instead of giving the whole drop-down menu again.)))
Thinking about perks, your stat window popped up. Sure enough, there were two new perks in addition to the one you already had (novice romantic.)
>>><<<
Novice Chef: You can make more than sandwiches, but don't expect to wow anyone with your cooking. Effect: Small boost in favorability when a heroine is eating food made by you.
A strong Start: No one expected you to get this far on your first day. Effect: Basic physical info unlocked for all heroines, including those you haven't met yet. Additionally, allows one secret to be unlocked for each heroine without spending a reward point.
>>><<<
Novice chef was pretty self-explanatory, about what you were expecting. 'A strong start' was a pretty cool perk to get, and was much more useful. It effectively meant you had 3 reward points each level to spend on stuff, and it looked like it automatically revealed stuff that you wouldn't have wanted to burn points on in the first place! Talk about useful!
(((Basic info isn't all that much- I think what its saying is that it'll automatically unlock height and age for all heroines, but you'll still have to spend on the other info.)))
'Hey, narrator? Can I, uh, update the heroine information now? Or do I have to wait till I'm back at my apartment?'
(((I don't see why not. Ruu's reading manga, and Satomi's still trying to study, so neither lady is paying much attention to you.)))
And it was pretty great getting an eyeful of Ruu's ample breasts covered by that flashy leopard skin pattern bra. You were a healthy male and you liked what you saw.
