Rouge woke up to the shining sun as she stepped out to the balcony to take the scenery in.
For two months, no one has heard anything from the thieving bat, with her cutting off just about all communications and going off the grid. Maybe people assumed the worst about her, but in reality, Rouge was simply home away from home, in a small, yet luxurious cottage out in the mountains. She breathed in the fresh air as she took a seat, though almost falling into it thanks to one round and large reason.
She still remembered the day she got the news. Couple of days prior, Rouge woke up feeling under the weather that left her feeling queasy at the slightest smell, whether good or bad. She thought it was simply a stomach bug that she somehow caught and that it would pass soon, but the fatigue and stomach issues would not end. It wasn't until Rouge went to the doctor's that she discovered the reason behind it all.
She was pregnant, and unfortunately, she doesn't know who the father is.
For the first time in her life, Rouge panicked. The only thing she knew was that should word get out, everyone would see her differently from now on. She couldn't risk taking such a gamble, so she discretely left to her secluded home.
Rouge sighed as she unconsciously rubbed her gravid belly. While she wanted to settled down with a kid one day, Rouge didn't know who should be the one to father her child. She still hasn't, now made more complicated due to the fact that she hasn't gotten laid at all around the announcement. Still, the experience wasn't all that unpleasant. As uncomfortable as her belly made her at times, it still felt nice knowing that a baby was gently growing inside her. Of course, this meant she had to ditch her signature bodysuit for sweats and a specialty bra that was somewhat struggling to contain her bigger and milkier breasts.
Regardless, Rouge laid back as she looked to the sky, still rubbing her bump as a single thought ran through her mind. "I wonder what your daddy is doing right now?"
