"I was wondering if we can take a look around inside the embryo...?"
Tails was surprised and flustered by Vanilla's response, taking a step back to process her request. "A-are you sure...? It's a very delicate time for the gene mixing and-"
Any future complaints Tails was having were cut off almost immediately as he felt the mother's arms wrap around him in a gentle, yet sultry, manner. "Please, Tails? If not for me then do it for Cream. Besides, I know you're curious to see what goes on deep inside as well~"
The young fox couldn't retort. Yes, he was curious to see the biological gene-splicing in action, but to do it so soon? Eventually, he caved to the request, swallowing his doubts as he turned to the Rabbits. "A-alright. Follow me, everyone."
Vanilla and Cream beamed at Tails' response, heading back into the ship as they prepared for an even smaller expedition. With the command inputted, the ship began to roar and whirr as they shrunk down even smaller than before, to the point where even the fertilized egg was beginning to look as big as the ARK. Eventually, the shrinking stopped as they reach their intended size, with Tails setting course for inside Rouge's embryo.
"Brace yourselves!" Tails nervously commanded as the ship began to penetrate the hardened wall, slipping pass the nanoscopic pores into the central genetic chamber. It was dark, dank, and spacious, with nary anything to differentiate one area from another. Thankfully, Tails planned for this, and activated a spotlight that not only allowed them to see up ahead, but also would scan for any genes and differentiate them with different colors. The screen also displayed a sonar so that they wouldn't truly be lost in this forever landscape.
Cream looked in awe as they made their way deeper into the embryo. "It's like we're in the deep ocean!"
Vanilla couldn't help but chuckle at her imaginative mind, before turning to Tails for guidance. "Do you know how close we are to the genes, Tails?"
"We should be there shortly..." As soon as Tails gave his estimate, the screen pinged them on the approaching tanglement of Prower and Bat genetics. The light flashed upon the mixing DNA, as the computer made out who's who with simple colors: Orange for Tails, White for Rouge.
Cream was enamored with the dancing display, eyes widening at the sight of them forming together. "What are they doing?"
"Right now, Tails' DNA is intermixing with Rouge's own, creating an all new strand of genetics for the baby to use," Vanilla explained. "Do you think we can see the DNA up close?"
"I-I should, but..." Tails hesitated as he began to weight the cons of shrinking down that much during a very delicate process. "What if we get mixed up in all of that?"
Vanilla pondered a bit herself before declaring her answer.
