"You'll be under the care of the Royal Hospital's staff. Apparently, the Acorn Royal Family had taken interest on you." You risen an eyebrown on that as it seemed kind of random. Out of all the things that could be said, that was likely the least likely, then again, he did said you were a person of interest due to the several factors, this world know that you are not from around here and that's given your little yet rather almost fatal introduction. You heard the doctor humming after finishing speaking.
"You doesn't seem thrilled on the notion on meeting royalty, Something on the matter?" Deephorn asked with am risen eyebrown himself.
"Oh, it's nothing at all.. just, it feels like... well, picture this: I just almost died, survived exploding and bedridden and now royalty wants me?" He seemed to puzzle for a bit before humming again.
"Well, I can't say you're lucky, the Royalty does get too involved when the world face danger and your little light show is enough to warrant sufficient attention from anybody, some with less ideals plans for you, I can say that this is more a pragmatic decision and is good is them taking the initiative rather than others.
"Really?" The male deer nodded.
"Oh yes, think of this, you're a man with powers, and survived being turning cheese. It might not look much but it's quite impressive for someone of our size, those pawns are twice bigger than most females in this world, this makes you valuable and is something they can't ignore."
"I mean.. I don't think my abilities are that impressive to warrant sufficient attention, considering the inhabitants of this world has much more awe-inspiring abilities."
"That's true, but none of them are male, like you, so tell me, are your abilities able to pass down to offsprings? If the answer is not, then your value isn't that great in their eyes but will enough to turn you into an ally or slave but... If the answer is yes, well, if someone else were able to get you in any shape or form, the chances are that you'll be turned into a livestock to farm your genes." He shrugged
"I see... still there are lot of factor of who to get magic, it need to be activated first through through a ritual and it is needed learning, it's not just brute force."
"But they don't know that, so the point still stand." You frowned.
"... Still, How do I know that the Royalty isn't up to do the same?" The doctor hummed and looked on the tablet, he didn't gave you clear answer and his face was impassive, you were about to ask again until he began to speak anew.
"Well, the Acorn family are firmly believers of personal freedom, so they won't be enslaving you or turn you into an livestock, worst they could do to you is asking you in an arranged marriage to one of them or to the heroes so others would be highly hesitant to get you." This makes you ponder about that, it was more or less truth, the Acorn family won't be going as far to turn you into an slave if the comics are to be believe, on the other hand, you weren't much into the Archie Comics, you don't know much what to expect, also you essentially don't know how different will be this version of them to the comics, considering is tha Amazonian world.
"Well, I take my leave." The doctor announced, snapping you out of your musing. "I just got an notification, it seems that you'll be meeting them sooner that I believed."
"Already?"
"Indeed... one of the princesses, Sally Acorn, is coming here to meet you, apparently she wants to discuss something with you before your relocation to the Royal Hospital of the Palace, I would say you're lucky on meeting royalty early but Sally isn't exactly the one that stick to the Royal Protocols, maybe you two can sort things out."
"Alright.. thank you doctor." You said in gratitude just before the doctor leaves. Well, this happened. How... intriguing turn of events, a bit too quickly for your liking but still intriguing nonetheless. While outside you looked pensive while staring at the window. Internally, you were kind of nervous as hell, isn't everyday one meet royalty, however you knew who you gonna be meeting with but again, she was coming here to have a chat with you.
"About what?" You simply couldn't help but ponder, said pondering didn't make you realize that the door opens anew and someone entered the room.
"So.. you are the human that survived being ganged by eggpawns, I'll be honest, isn't everyday someone survives eggpawns like those, much less with wounds like those, you gave us quite an scare out there." You tensed upon hearing an voice, it wasn't the doctor as it was feminine in tone. You looked at the source only for your eyes widen on seeing your visitor.
