"I think we'll be able to manage much better if the problem was much smaller, if you catch my meaning."
Looking Glass's eyes widened and she covered her mouth with her hoof. "You don't mean..."
Petri nodded her confirmation. "I do. We should shrink him down and put him inside one of us for safekeeping until he can fully recover. An extended stay inside a mare's womb should recharge his mana reserves more quickly."
Looking Glass thought about the human sleeping inside her, overseen by her body, and shivered. The very idea set a fire to her cheeks. “Won’t he be angry if he finds out what we’ve done?”
The bespectacled mare vigorously shook her head. "I-it is for his own good! It’s either that or leave him comatose on the ground, and you know I won’t do that to a stallion. B-besides, he’ll be a lot safer and more comfortable there, and we can continue to work in peace. After he returns to full strength we can reverse the spell and take him out.”
Looking Glass eyes fell onto the slumbering human, and she swallowed thickly. "So then who gets to take him?”
Petri rubbed under her chin in thought as she ruminated on this for a few seconds."We'll play Stone Clipper Sheets to decide who gets to keep him. Whoever wins will be the one to cast the spell.”
That sounded reasonable to Looking Glass. She lit her horn and a holographic image appeared above her head, and soon after Petri Dish did the same.
The two mares tossed back their heads and at the same time shouted, "Stone! Clipper! Sheets!"
(In the end who won the game?)
