You sighed in relief as Jessie left, but were excited to get on with the celebration. Unfortunately for you, as soon as the locker room door closed, there was a knock. Ally answered and Touko pushed her way in, holding a microphone and dragging a camera man behind her.
"Tommy!" she exclaimed into the mic, ignoring Ally and the rest of the cheer squad, "Congratulations on your first win! Toppling someone like Dulce Dolor in your debut match isn't something to take lightly! What do you owe your success to?" she asked, shoving the microphone in your face.
"Uh...I...uh..." you stammer at first, not being prepared for a promo, but quickly gathered your confidence. "It's simple Touko. It's my fighting spirit. Sweet Pain is tough, but no matter the challenge you can't quit. It's the spirit within the fighter that my opponents will need to be terrified of," you say, gritting your teeth.
Touko smiles. "Those are some inspiring words Tommy. Thank you for your time and good luck here in the DWA, it looks like you've been making friends quickly" she said with a smile, shaking your hand and gesturing to Lacy and Tracy.
You smile in return somewhat awkwardly, ultimately all you wanted from Touko was the cure. Lacy and Tracy didn't seem thrilled to see you hogging the spotlight. They didn't want to be Tommy's newest sidekicks. Lacy jumps in and gives you a big hug just before the camera shuts off.
Meanwhile, in her dressing room, Jessie was watching the interview with interest. She thought she saw something at the end, right as Lacy jumped in. She rewound and slowed the segment, watching it over and over again. It wasn't much, but in the moment Lacy jumped on you while Touko still held your hand, she saw your arm stretch like it were made of rubber. The dominant and seductive fighter smiled. "So, that's his secret," she mused to herself.
