Gripping onto her sword and shield, Revi stepped out of the camp tent. Her hands shook with excitement as she looked out over the field of the Ancient Forest. After all her training and effort to become a Hunter, her chance was finally here. The Commander had given her a decent challenge: Slay the Great Jagras. Every Hunter had fought one in their early days, and usually came back victorious. The only real danger was the smaller Jagras that the monster commanded, but even a rookie could overpower them with minimal effort.

Revi pulled out her map as Liza exited the camp tent with a loud yawn. Rubbing her eyes, she glanced at Revi with a sigh.

"Jeez Rev, couldn't have at least waited a few hours? I know you're excited, but I sorta need my beauty sleep..." Liza said as she stretched, her back cracking with several pops, before reaching down to adjust her waist armor. She choose to wear her Kirin armor which showed off her toned abs and rather thick thighs. A clear contrast to Revi's leather armor. Revi was convinced that she wore that Kirin armor just to show off.

"I could barely even sleep as night, I'm super excited! Imagine what I could do once I kill this Great Jagras. We could finally make enough cash to move into that fancy home instead of having to sleep in the ship!" Revi said, turning back to the field in front of her. Liza began to fidget as she grew lost in thought.

"I know you're excited...but look. It's dangerous out in the field, can you at least let me come with you? The Commander won't have to know about it."

Revi suddenly turned back and took Liza's hands in hers, "Don't worry, I got this! If you carried me my entire career, how can I hope to stand on my own two feet and support you?" Liza gazed at Revi for a few long moments, before nodding.

"A-Alright, just please...be careful. I wouldn't know what to do if I lost you."

"Don't gotta worry about that, I'll come back with that monster on a spit-roast!" Revi pulled away before giving one last wave and running down the path. Liza let another sigh escape her.

Revi bent down as the heat of the sun blazed overhead. Popping open a vial, her knife scooped up a small green liquid. Her Scoutflies swirled around the scent before soaring away to the source of the bile. Standing up, she continued on the path before a soft rustling in the brush nearby caught her attention.
