Revi pulled her sword out of its sheathe and raised her shield as she narrowed her eyes at the rustling. The steel of her sword glimmered in the light. Just then, a Jagras leaped out of the foliage. Revi panicked and lost her nerve. Instead of launching out a clean slice, she swung her shield upwards. The tip of her shield collided with the bottom of the Jagras' jaw, sending it into the air and crashing against the near tree. Revi blinked a few times in shock, before putting her hands on her hips and laughing, as if she pretending to know what she was doing. 

"H-Ha, I actually did it! I took down a monster by myself!" 

However, the Jagras wasn't done yet. It stood back on all fours and shook its head before screeching at Revi. The Jagras lunged forward again, but Revi avoided the jaws with a fast roll. She lifted her sword high into the sky, and with a yell, plunged it down into the back of the monster. It screeched in agony, before Revi extracted her sword and stabbed the skull of the Jagras for a quick death. As she stood up, her Scoutflies picked up a trail on the corpse of the monster and quickly fluttered away. 

"C'mon Rev, you can do this. You killed a Jagras, so just pretend the Great Jagras is just a bigger version of it...that is hungrier...and stronger." 

As Revi continued on the trail, she entered a narrow part of the forest. The massive trees that grew overhead provided a nice yet claustrophobic pathway for herself and other monsters to walk through. A nearby stomp reached her ears, sending chills across her body. Sliding into a patch of large bushes, she peered through and her eyes went wide. Walking along the path was an Anjanath. Nearly triple her height, the Anjanath stomped and sniffed the air to try and find her latest feast. Her short red hair bounced as she meandered along. Revi could hear her stomach whining and demanding to be filled.
