Revi paused for a long moment, before she turned away from the noise, deciding that it was probably just one of the many different species of bird scattered around the forest.
"Bird-hunting doesn't sound so bad...but I have a job to do! I'm gonna get that monster, have a nice big meal, and then ask Liza-" Her monologue didn't last long as a yellow Jagras suddenly leaped from the foliage and knocked Revi to the ground on her belly. Scrambling to reach for her sword, she held onto the grip, rolled onto her back, and slashed. The Jagras jumped out of the way, giving Revi a brief moment to gather herself. Again, the Jagras lunged and toppled her to the ground. Sharp fangs bit down on her forearm as she was suddenly being dragged away. Trying to wrestle back control, she yanked and twisted her arm and body, but the foliage and branches dug and smacked against her as the Jagras bolted into a sprint.
The Jagras ran into a cavern, Revi's back and arms becoming scratched from the
rough rocks, before she was yanked and tossed down into a hole. She fell for a few seconds before she landed on her back, letting out a sharp yelp of pain. Slowly standing to her feet, she gasped. A small horde of Jagras gathered at her front, forcing her slowly back against the edge of the den with sharp claws and cacophonous screeches. She held her sword out in front of her, ready to slash at anything that dared to move. Her back pressed against an squishy and warm part of the wall, and her eyes widened once again as the wall groan.
"Gwwworrrble..." The walls spoke with a slick squelch as they rumbled against her. Revi turned around, both hands on her sword, as she gazed forward.
Staring down at Revi wasn't a wall, but a massively tall and imposing monster. Easily triple Revi's size, her yellow waterfall of hair flowed down to the floor and her pudgy stomach gurgled ominously as the monster licked her lips. She bent down, lifting her hips into the air, and slowly opened her mouth as if to invite Revi inside. Revi instead grit her teeth and backed away before her leg was nipped by one of the surrounding Jagras.
"T-That must be the target, a Great Jagras..."
