Back to history class with Ms. Coleman
Monique was feeling giddy, she already thought of you as a nice guy and even considered you a friend, but even she was slightly surprised you were such a good sport after dealing with the less pleasant side effects from hiding in her large booty. But then again, according to what she knew of the 'other' you, it wasn't all that strange to her.

'I guess now I know why they do this' She thought as she then put her hands on a cheek each and began to gently knead their round, doughy masses. She'd seen Lillian and Zuemy do this before and while she knew it was related to your presence she hadn't figured out exactly why they'd do that until now. She also had heard from Veronica about forms of showing affection to micros using the warmth and softness of their bodies so it all came together in her mind and it even made her feel goosebumps, something about feeling your speck-sized form engulfed by her warm, plush cheeks sent pleasant tingles up her spine and all over her limbs, as if rippling just like her butt itself.

Things were significantly less pleasant for you though, as you were still barely recovering from her noxious albeit not-fully-intentional assault. Being engulfed by soft squishy flesh from every direction wasn't so bad, and in fact it even helped soothe you a little, snapping you out of your panic.

"Alright, I think I should be good for a while" Monique said, noting that her stomach had gone quiet, though she knew it probably begin acting up soon. She calmly walked back to class, giggling quietly since your tiny form tickled her, you swayed with her cheeks' motion and slightly rubbed against them, plus her crack was particularly sensitive. Upon getting back to the classroom, Veronica gave her an inquisitive look and Monique responded with a smile and a thumbs up, knowing her friend was a little concerned about her.

"What did I miss?" She whispered.

"Ms. Coleman was explaining how a lot of the technological innovations in history were actually the work of micros for the most part, but only in societies where they were kept safe and in humane conditions" Veronica replied, the brunette could see that her friend was probably burning every single word the teacher said into her memory, but she somewhat shared the sentiment.

'I wonder where did they keep micros safe back in those days' Monique thought with a quiet chuckle, still faintly feeling your very diminutive form entombed by her (reluctantly) admittedly huge cheeks. She went back to paying nearly full attention to the class, but you never quite left her mind since your presence kept giving her soft but very pleasant tingles, and she "rewarded" that by periodically clenching her cheeks, which in her mind was just a soft hug all around. Fortunately for her (and you) the A/C was at full blast in the classroom so there was no more sweat in her crack, though its sheer depth and warmth slowed down the remaining sweat's evaporation, but at least you weren't swimming in a nasty salty ocean like before, instead you felt like you were engulfed by warm jello.

"And that's how a lot of the foundations on what'd become modern science was largely the work of micros in Ancient Greece and Rome, where those that were kept safe could spend their time developing productive skills. Despite being more egalitarian in their treatment, the so called barbarian societies were more concerned with day-to-day survival so they couldn't devote as much time on furthering scientific thought. There's a saying from those times that goes "A micro can achieve more in a gilded cage in Rome than a free one in the Germanic grasslands". That sums up the sentiment of the time. Many micros who were deprived of their villages, families and loved ones ended up being the possession of numerous Roman households, and their fate depended on their social class, but at the very worst they'd be a luxury pet or a novelty servant of sorts..."

Several students wrote down notes, Monique and Veronica included, though several other girls simply ignored the class and minded their own business, which usually amounted to whatever was trending on social networks at the time. Ms. Coleman either failed to notice or didn't care as she continued her class with just as much enthusiasm as she'd started.

"Now, not everything was as dark and gloomy as I made it sound" The often clumsy teacher chuckled "When we study History we tend to focus on the ruling classes, as they usually make a nation's decisions, but it's important to remember that there's a distinction between what happened at the top levels of society and what happened at the average citizen level" Ms. Coleman then grabbed her thermos and took a sip of cool water before continuing.
"You see, there are some things that don't really change even across entire centuries, or even millennia, and here with Ancient Greece we got what we could call in this context a 'Maternalistic culture', and this is something we can see to this day: A culture that emphasized care and protection for micros as some of its founding tenets. So, yeah, the situation wasn't exactly the best for those who were acquired as slaves or as prisoners of war, but actual Greek micros at least enjoyed a fairly peaceful and safe life. It was even an unwritten rule of war amongst the numerous city-states that micros were never to be harmed under any circumstances, and more often than not on pain of death"

Many students gasped as most of them didn't really expect that people in ancient times could take things that seriously, with many believing that such strict laws were a recent-ish development somewhere in the last century at the earliest.

"Ever since the very beginning of what would become the Greek civilization, female philosophers who observed nature to determine its underlying rules and understand the natural order of how things worked, and so it was established since pretty early on that women had a duty to protect micros, appointed by the gods, by Nature or Fate, to ensure the continuation of their own existence. And as you know, later, the Romans largely absorbed their culture and built upon it and these notions were taken alongside everything else. This is in contrast to other ancient cultures of their time who viewed this matter in different angles, some seeing micros as mere tools for reproduction, as property, pets, or, surprisingly enough, as complete equals to women" Ms. Coleman said, it was then that Veronica decided to raise her hand to ask a question.
"Yes?"

"Wouldn't complete equality be the best treatment? I mean... It sounds like the Greeks and Romans were protective but, like, they didn't let them be completely free?" Veronica asked.

"That's a very good question" Ms. Coleman smiled "And yes, complete equality would be the best way to treat micros, at least on paper, but there are a few catches to it... You see, in ancient times, the understanding of this idea was way more simplistic than what we have nowadays, in these societies where micros were given full equality, they were expected to be entirely independent on every aspect of their lives just like us"

"Oh..." Veronica nodded as she saw the teacher's point.

"Suffice to say, on practical terms, micros can't exactly do everything in the same physical capacity we do. And even less so in such early times. Furthermore, many societies that had this lifestyle were nomadic or seminomadic and lived in places like the vast steppes of Asia, where it can get incredibly hot or cold, and we all know cold in particular is one of micros' worst enemies... In those circumstances they literally couldn't be away from a female protector for long or they'd risk freezing over, and let me tell you than even though micros can endure heat a lot better than ourselves, they also do have their limits, and a micro was much safer in close proximity to a woman than they were on their own. I know it couldn't have been the most pleasant but our perspiration probably saved countless of micros' lives when there was nothing else to protect them from the sweltering heat in those places" She explained. Monique perked up upon hearing that and thought back to you and her butt.

'I didn't think my sweat could be protecting him too... then again it's a pretty hot day outside, yet the A/C is pretty chilly inside' She thought and smiled slightly and clenched her butt a few more times as her way of hugging you.

"So, yeah, the idea of equality has always come up in civilized societies and there's been a lot of debating about how to go about it, and the early take some societies took was seen as less than ideal and sometimes unnecessarily risky" Ms. Coleman said.

"Ms. Coleman, did they really need to keep a lot of micros though? I mean if they just wanted to use them to have children they couldn't have needed that many..." Another girl in the class asked.

"That's also a good question! On the one hand, we could say that no, in a cold, statistical point of view, they didn't need to keep as many micros as they did, but let's look at it this way: Every micro is somebody's son, or daughter in rare instances. Someone's brother or sister, someone's nephew, niece, grandson or granddaughter... Unless you had a really good reason to, you wouldn't dare to take them away from the people that care about them or harm them. Even now, I'm pretty sure that if you do something to a micro from a household belonging to a maternal culture you're gonna get in a whole lot of trouble, and that's without considering the law" Ms. Coleman explained, laughing a little at her own example, picturing a frowning mom wielding either a flipflop or a belt just about ready to dole out some punishment to anyone who'd dare hurt her dear baby boy. And by the look of the students that were paying attention, it seemed they got the message as well.

"This is ingrained on us at the most primal level, probably because every life form that's been ancestral to us has only been able to survive and reproduce by ensuring that their micro-sized male counterparts were also reasonably well cared for. And there's proof that this sort of genetic rule exists for a very good reason, and those who disobey it pay dearly" Ms. Coleman said, shifting to a slightly more serious tone.
"You guys ever heard of the Amazons?"
