At first, I thought it was just a trick of the light, or my eyes just being unused to someone of her size. But, no, as I looked her over, it seemed that.....as strange as it was to say, she actually looked to be a tiny bit taller than she did just a few minutes ago....and a little bit pudgier than before. It was hardly noticeable, really, but...well, it was there.
"Is everything all right?" she asked, looking concerned.
"Oh, nothing, nothing." I said, handing her the glass of soda. "Just getting used to your presence, that's all."
"Come on, don't be like that!" she said. "We're going to have lots and lots of fun together, just you wait!"
Although the first few days of Twilight's presence in my home were a bit awkward at first and required a bit more trouble than I had anticipated (most notably, purchasing a bed that was long enough for Twilight to sleep in), but we soon settled into a normal routine. I would go to work on weekdays while she did her own thing, typically either doing research on the Internet (everything from the history of humanity to how hot dogs were made) or going out to any nearby bookstores and libraries in search of new things to read (which apparently roused no attention at any of those places, despite her being a bio-mechanical anthropomorphic pony). Whenever I was at home or had time off from work, we would end up hanging out together; no matter what, she was always happy to see me, and always eager to do whatever with me, whether reading books, playing computer games, watching movies, or what have you. Pleasant times, very pleasant times.
...On the other had, however, there was one thing that got my attention and slightly concerned me. Although it never became a concern whatsoever, it became apparent after a time that Twilight was, slowly but surely, growing in both height and weight. Although the height was a much more subtle thing, only growing an inch or two within the first couple months, her weight gain was noticeably much more pronounced. Her stomach began to swell from somewhat pudgy to a noticeably round belly. Her breasts grew a few cup sizes, large and round on her chest. Her thighs went from slim and elegant to round and squishy. Her arms grew soft and somewhat flabby, and her face became chubby, her cheeks now round and cheery.
Although, for what it's worth, I attempted to cut back on the junk food present in the house, and instead attempted to serve healthier foods, it quickly became apparent that Twilight was less than pleased with this turn of events. She never said anything, no, but the looks she gave whenever I served whole wheat pasta or sandwiches or something like that said it all.
Choice 1: Time passes without incident.
Choice 2: John and Twilight have a conversation about her recent gains.
