Example Interactive - Our Features

Welcome! This is an interactive story. That means, at the end of most chapters, you will see a number of choices which decide where the story will go next. This format is also called a "choose-your-own-path" or "choose-your-own-adventure"-style story. Normally, the text here would introduce the story itself.

 

For readers, interactive stories let you control where you want to the story to go, and also lets you see more of the authors' ideas for a story than a traditional story with just one path. Also, if you can think of a path you'd like the story to take, in many stories you can write it yourself! It's kind of like fiction and fanfiction existing alongside each other.

 

For writers, interactive stories allow you to write a story that goes in multiple different directions, without needing to write a separate introduction for each one. If you've ever thought to yourself "hmm, I like the where the story is going, but it would be neat if this other thing happened at this point in the story..." With an interactive, you can write that alternate history, right in the same place, and readers can see both. All the sub-stories are collected under the same overall story.
