The Chronicles of the Mother Sonia
Prologue from the Chronicles of the Mother Sonia, Volume 1.
My name is Henry. I am the eldest son of my mother, Sonia Softmore. I am a brother, husband and father of 253 children as of writing. I have been assigned the important job of chronicler. I document the development of the wonderful civilisation me and my kin have cultivated from within my mother. I am writing this chronicle for future generations to read. I hope it will inspire them to improve upon the achievements of their ancestors. This chronicle will tell of our history, society, culture, traditions and technological achievements. This is the first volume of the Chronicles of the Mother Sonia. I and the rest of my family are Microputians, the smallest of the small, forced to suffer in a world too big for us. And yet, we have managed to build a glorious civilisation in just five years with our own effort, determination and cooperation. It is as our mother says, “from my experience, it’s always the smallest people who have the biggest hearts.”
