“Just leave Seth,” Cathy said sounding defeated. “Please, just leave us. I think you’ve proven your point.”

“The compound doesn’t work.” Seth stated the obvious with a grin.

“Yeah, I could see that.” Cathy was looking at her tablet. No Signal was all it said. “We’ll figure out what went wrong and do more tests. But I don’t think we’ll need the services of your girlfriend in the future.”

Seth leaned forward and swooped Cathy into the palm of his hand. “Oh come on Cath, Amanda did wonderful today. She’s the ultimate test after all. If your dumb little scientists can come up with something that can withstand the awesome powers of a Brobdingnagian, just imagine how invincible the Blefuscudians could become. You’d be able to steam roll over the Lilliputians with no resistance.”

Cathy looked up past Seth and towards Amanda who stood ready for Seth’s next command. About four and half miles up in the sky, Cathy could see Amanda’s flat stomach, which was working on digesting her former employees, not to mention the expensive jumbo jet. Seth backed up a few steps until he was able to sit on Amanda’s big toe. He let his free hand feel around her smooth unpolished nail.

“I wonder why I just don’t hire a Brobdingnagian mercenary.” Cathy told Seth, still looking up Amanda’s miles long legs. “Just one Brobdingnagian could decimate Lilliput Island quicker than any bomb we have.”

“Do you realize how quick the international police would stop that?” Seth chuckled. “Not to mention all the human rights organizations, many of them being ran by Brobdingnagians. No, this little tiff you and the Lilliputians have—that’s y’alls war.”

“I know.” Cathy said. “God, I hate those fucking Lilliputians so much.”

Seth’s brow rose up as he heard Cathy’s last statement. “Hey Cath, you still feeling bad about your people being eaten up by Amanda?”

“Yes,” Cathy nearly shouted like she was a child saying d’uh. “Of course I’m upset. What a terrible way to go.”

“Let me make it up to you. Come home with me and Amanda.” Seth reached into his front coat pocket. He pulled out a golden cigarette case—except cigarettes weren’t inside. He popped the case opened and pulled out a shrieking Lilliputian woman between his index finger and thumb. He extended his tongue and let the Lilliputian woman down on top of it. He retracted his tongue and began toying with the nude woman in his mouth. “I think you can release some stress with my help.” His speech was all mumbled as talked with the struggling woman in his mouth. “Don’t look so shocked, she’s just a Lilly.” He swallowed.

“Oh my god.”

“Yea.”

“Why the fuck would you do that? In front of me?”

“What? She was a Lilliputian.”

“Yea, but—“

“But nothing. You’re in the business of killing Lilliputians.”

Cathy weighed her options.
