“You are so cute!” A disembodied voice filled Abigale’s ears. “I’m so glad you decided to downgrade back to Lilliputian, Abbie. Don’t worry; I will take good care of you.”
Abbie felt the ground underneath her shake as she tried to pinpoint the source of the voice. A land mass collapsed a hundred feet to her right where she stood. She saw a tan mountain range with a deep gap running dead center of it. But this wasn’t a mountain range, for it had a tan pillar rising high above the dark sky.
“Downgrade?” Abbie started backing up while trying to discern what the object was in front of her. “Lilliputian?”
“Yea, silly.” Abbie knew it was Heather now speaking to her. “But I’ll take care of you and everyone you know and love.”
“What?” Abbie’s breathing became erratic as she now noticed she wasn’t alone. All her friends were standing around her including her parents. They were bewildered and staring up into the sky. “Heather, why did I downgrade.”
“Because you wanted to.”
“No,” Abbie heard herself say. “I want to be a Brobby.”
“Well, you sure haven’t been acting like your want to be a Brobby. Oh, you all are so tiny and cute. Well, I mean, I can’t see you, but I bet you all are so cute. How big do I look?” Heather brought her foot over the 20 Lilliputians; even her pinky toe was large enough to decimate a Lilliputian neighborhood, let alone 20 Lillies.
“Don’t hurt us!” Abbie cried out.
Heather giggled as she brought her foot down on Abbie and everyone she knew.

“Oh my god, oh my god!” Abbie awoke on the couch screaming. It was morning the next day, yet her mind hadn’t processed that yet thanks to her nightmare. “Heather don’t!” Abbie’s eyes opened wide, filled with terror.
Heather came storming into the living room wearing only her black boy shorts and bra. “Abbie, what’s going on?” Her bare feet thudded across the carpet, standing over Abbie who was acting like an escape mental patient. “Are you okay, honey?” Heather lowered herself onto the couch and embraced Abbie.
Abbie accepted the hug but felt frozen in fear of Heather nevertheless. Her head sunk into Heather’s breasts and her arms squeezed her warm toned body. Her breathing return to normal as she felt safe, yet terrified of Heather at the same time.
“I dreamed I got shrunk back to a Lilliputian. I dreamed you stepped on me, my friends, and my family.” Abbie’s throat felt sore as she spoke between her cries. “Why would you crush me?”
Heather tried not to giggle. “Honey, I would never do such a thing. And you’re a Brobby, not a Lilly. Don’t forget that. Remember what I said, it’s just ex-race memories coming to haunt you. You know how people who have had amputations, like their arms being chopped off, well, there is a condition where they feel like their arm is still there, attached to them still. I think it’s called phantom limb or something like that. Anyway, that’s just like what you are experiencing now. You’re mind hasn’t accepted its new life as a Brobby.”
“Please promise me you will never crush me under your feet.”
“I promise.”
“And promise you’ll never hurt any of my Lilliputian friends. Or my family.”
“I promise.”
“I don’t want to downgrade into a Lilliputian. I don’t like being weak and tiny.”
“I got an idea.” Heather pushed Abbie up on the couch. “Let’s have them come over right away. That way you can see with your own eyes that you’re a Brobby and not a speck. Come on, I promise it will make you feel better.”
“Uhm, okay.”
“Yay! I can’t wait to see them!” Heather hugged Abbie. “Oh, and one last thing,” Heather adjusted herself on the couch and brought her feet up on Abbie’s lap. Abbie recoiled as images of her nightmare raced into her mind. “See, they’re not big scary, stomping machines.” Heather giggled referring to her feet.
Heather was right, Abbie admitted to herself. Heather had a pair of really cute feet, albeit bigger than hers, but that was due to Heather being a much taller girl than she was.
“So, who’s coming?”
“Uhm, like I said before, there’s Fae, Caroline, Emily,” Abbie had to pause and think a little harder, “Leyla, Shana, Lucy, and maybe Connie if she’s still talking to me.”
“And boys?”
“I told you, I don’t know any.”
“Yea right.” Heather wasn’t buying it. “Come on, I want to hear at least one boy you’ll invite.”
“I don’t know any.”
“I don’t believe you, and I’m not going to stop bothering you until you give me a name.” Heather jammed her toes into Abbie’s sides causing her to twitch from the ticklish feeling.
“Okay, okay.” Abbie did know a boy. A casual acquaintance and a boy she admired in school but was too shy to speak to. “Joel. I’ll invite Joel.”
“There, now was that so hard?” Heather rose up from the couch and started heading out the room, “I’m going to get ready for them. I can have a private Lilliputian pick them up as soon as they agree to come over.” Heather turned, but stopped herself. “Or we can meet them at the border. What do you think we should do?”
