The group entered the mall and immediately headed for the clothing store. Most clothing stores only held Norm clothes but the one that Bethany took you into had a normally had small section dedicated to pet shrinks. Upon entering, Bethany and her friends quickly split up and went their separate ways to look at clothes in the store and, while you expected Bethany to do the same, she went straight for the shrink section.
As she walked with you in hand you noticed other costumers in the store giving the two of you confused looks. Very few norms were nice to shrinks and even fewer were willing to keep them as pets and show them off to the public. You weren't sure if Bethany just didn't notice them or if she was ignoring them purposefully, either way it was clear that she was proud to have you around with her.
Bethany approached the men's shrink section and held you up to the clothing racks. Thankfully she had you point out clothes that you liked rather than choosing for you. It was during this that you took a chance to speak with Bethany about something else.
"Bethany, can I ask you something ?", you asked meekly. "Of course", Bethany said with a smile. "When we're done here, could you put me back in your purse again", you requested. This caused Bethany to give a small frown, it seemed as though she immediately understood that your being exposed to her friends and to the public was embarrassing to you. She shook her head yes and took the clothes that you picked out to the register.
The clerk gave the two of you a surprised look but didn't give Bethany any trouble. After the purchase, Bethany placed you and your new clothes in to her purse and made her way around the store looking for her friends.
You breathed a sigh of relief, glad to see that Bethany was so understanding. You didn't want to make her upset but you already had enough excitement for one day; plus the looks that the other people in the mall were giving you was pretty intimidating as well. You were just hoping to sit this one out for now.
