You look up and see she's casually smiling down at you. You quickly realize she's just interested in gossip.
"A date? No, we're just friends" you reply.
"Oh please" laughs Carmen. "I've seen the way Tina looks at you. She's totally in to you"
"What are you talking about? How does she look at me?" you inquire.
"Oh my God" says Carmen, feigning irritation. "Boys are so clueless. No matter what size they are. Just tell me how tonight goes tomorrow, ok?"
"Why do you care?" you ask. "You love to torture me with your feet, since when do you care about anything going on in my life other than how you can make this class torture."
"Hey, just because I tease you a little bit doesn't mean I don't consider you a friend." smiles Carmen.
You don't really know what to say to that. You hate how Carmen tortures you every day, but you do feel some relief that you know she doesn't plan to really hurt you.
