The world shakes violently again. The periscope twirls violently knocking Cassidy clean over. It must have come at the lens at the top.
“Everyone get their masks ready,” Aaron orders. “Tim, are you ready with the gas?”
“Yes,” someone shouts from the kitchen.
Everyone else makes a mad dash to their rooms and back with gas masks one like they were in World War One. Aaron dashes across the room wearing a mask and carrying two more. He drops one next to you, shouting, “Put this one now!” And puts the other one on the dazed Cassidy.
“Let it out now!” he shouts through his mask. In the kitchen, you hear some strange creaking noises like some pipes are being loosed and you see a dense fog roll through the area. Everyone waits in silence.
