The Hunt Begins

You awoke to the sounds of crows and cicida’s outside your tent. Even the most annoying creatures of nature were a more pleasant way to awaken than any alarm clock.

It was early morning, sun was high and bright and felt warm against your skin. Your bare feet stepped out into the grass clearing where you had set up your camp.

Being a barefooter wasn’t just for fun, your footsteps were soft and quiet compared to a pair of boots, you can still feel the ground beneath your soles and with time your soles had built up enough calluses to feel firm and as tough as leather. It provided a legitimate stealth advantage while hunting, especially with the type of game you were hunting out here.

You slung your rifle over your shoulder, grabbed a flashlight, a compass, a hunting knife among other necessary outdoors items and stepped into the expansive taiga forest.

The rifle, the knife, they were for emergencies above all else, your prey could be hunted with bare hands. Shrinks. Yes, the shrinks who fled into the deep wilderness to survive and avoid the chaos of Norm civilization. The less Norm activity in a forest the more likely they will gravitate towards it as an option for survival.

Which means they were all yours for the taking. They were delicious and a true novelty food item. Hunting them out here like some maneating giant of myth was fun enough as is, so it’s become one of your most beloved hobbies in recent times.

Wether to take some shrinks yourself, eat them or just sell them for a hefty price one thing never changes.

They should be terrified of you.

As you walked calmly through the forest you come across a small group of three shrink men, dirty, tired looking and getting tiny pails of water from a large puddle that to them might’ve looked like a mountain. You were able to quickly hide behind a bush before you were spotted. Stalking them like a cat would stalk a mouse.

You have your prey in sight, make your move:
