You wanted to be a long-lasting venture, and so you grabbed anything that has value and importance to you that might come to be relevant to your investigation across space and time. Hell, you might never return to this dimension!

Ah yes, the sound of a functioning device and not a bomb in disguise as one. It is your favorite type of sound because it means that you have succeeded on one thing or at least managed to that green check mark on the things required to work as intenaimedu aimed at a mock wall you used for target practice for several other inventions that were gun-shaped, it was in terrible shape given the amount of punishment you gave to it, however, this was the last time you gonna be using it.
You aimed at it and pulled the trigger
A sphere of pure energy came out of the nose's gun and impacted the wall, it expanded becoming bigger and bigger until it formed a perfect circular yet stable singularity of purple coloring, it was frankly anti-climatic that there weren't booming results that after so much work was done to it and how big of a deal you made the transdimensional function you were expecting something more grandiose.
Oh well!
At least it worked!
