Thinking with Portals.
Portal Adventures. Chapter 2
"And done!" You sigh as you wipe the sweat off your brown and lay down the tools next to the machinery that was used for; a futuristic-looking yet very compact gun. It took you 2 years to make this machine; this gun was a Quantum Wormhole Generation Device, QWGD, or just a Portal Gun.

You were a genius, but not any genius; you were the kind of genius that doesn't get any form of recognition from any scientific community or anybody for that matter but it mattered none to you since most of your inventions were made for your sole benefits anyway, with the only exception being the small side projects and gadgets sold as patents that were fit for mass production to get necessary funds for your main undertakings. Hell, you even founded a small tech company only focusing on vending those things! Regardless, what you have right now was one of your most ambitious projects if not the most ambitious one as it has all theories and laws of space, time, and the conservation of mass and energy, all cramped together in it and able to bend or even outright break said theories with the press of the trigger, this invention took most of your attention.

This, however, made you seen as somewhat of a shut-in to your neighbors and anybody that knows you or seen you, which in itself was true; at least, to a reasonable extent, as you didn't get out more of your home or use the house that much, you were always within the confines of your bunker below it which was where you spend most on your time in with only security cameras monitoring inwards and outside in case of some nosy and curious neighbor come in unannounced or anybody that tries to break in. However, Your stance of might change as soon you test this thing.

With the device in your hand you proceeded to turn it on; flipping a couple of the switches and pressing the few buttons on the small control panel in the rear side as it allow energy flow through the gun's main circuitry; it sported a cylinder between the barrel and rear side which was more of a container rather than a chamber to load bullets in like any other gun; nonetheless, it still does have its ammunition in the form a singularity container connected to a particle accelerator, the panel's screen turns on and ran diagnostics only to show that everything was operational.

You hummed in satisfaction upon hearing it purr like a kitten, and further smiled seeing that it hadn't exploded like the other previous 13th iteration.

it was becoming annoying to heal and regrow limbs on the sickbay by 7th time.
