Right behind you was Shantae.
She had her hands on her hips and a frown on her face.
Obviously, she was suspicious.
"Who are you?" She asked.
"I am [Y/N] and I am a traveller," You answered. "And you are?"
"I am Shantae, half-genie guardian of Scuttle Town. What are you doing here?" Shantae asked, letting one hand drop from her hips.
"Merely travelling. My grandma gave me a magic book and told me to travel worlds," You answered. "If there is a problem, I'd be happy to help, especially with someone as cute and attractive as you."
Shantae blushed before looking away. "Uh, thanks."
"Then again, you probably get a lot of complements from just about everyone you meet," You said. You knew she had confidence problems, so you wanted to help with that.
She idly began to play with her ponytail, muttering, "Actually, you're kind of the first, outside of Rottytops. She's one of my friends and she is a zombie."
"Well, I'm glad to have brightened up your day a little. So what brought you out here?" you asked. She kept giving you quick glances, like a shy schoolgirl. She looked adorable and even a bit sexy.
"I heard rumors that a tinkerbat was seen around here. Since I haven't seen their Pirate leader, Risky Boots, for awhile, I decided to be proactive for once and stop her before she can complete one of her schemes," Shantae answered as she looked at you with a smile.
"I'd be happy to help," You said with a bow.
"Thanks, but don't be surprised if you can't keep up," Shantae replied before doing a belly dance. She changed into a monkey. "Because I can change into any animal with a dance!"
She ran off out of your sight.
You took out your book and looked for a find-person spell.
