Traveling the Multiverse
Chapter 14
You decided to visit the world that Shantae resides in. There were several reasons.
One was they'd be familiar with magic and tech, so you wouldn't have to explain too hard.
Another was you could learn a good amount of new magic.
A third was that a good amount of heroes, villains, and monsters are all cute, sexy girls.
So after entering a portal that had faint images of Shantae's adventures, you landed within viewing distance of Scuttle Town.
You smiled as you headed towards the town, knowing that one way or another, yours and Shantae's paths would meet.
There were a few monsters, like Scarecrows, bats, orcs, snakes, spiders, and other enemies that often appeared at the beginning of Shantae's adventures. You dealt with them all with fireballs and lightning spells. Each enemy left behind some gems, which was the money for the world. You eventually had to use your magic book to create a bag of holding for the gems.
A thought occurred to you, 'I wonder if I can create a harem? I know there's more than enough cute monsters girls in this world for it.'
You tried to avoid thinking about that, but it did keep popping back up. You did the math and came to the conclusion that it had a 50/50 chance of succeeding. The failure ending for it? you become the servant/boytoy of your harem, obeying all of their orders.
Assuming they don't simply beat you up, of course.
You eventually got the feeling you were being watched, so you stopped looking for new spells in the book less and less. You didn't want to risk the book getting stolen, after all.
The feeling of being watched didn't go away. In fact, it seemed to increase, like the person was getting ready to attack.
You didn't get too worried, as Shantae's games were on the light side. Even though you recalled your Grandma's warning about the worlds might be different than you expected them to be, the world you're in couldn't be too dangerous, right?
Then you felt a presence behind you, making you turn around to deal with them.
