All of a sudden, Kashiwagi looked in your direction, as if she knew not only you were there, but that you were looking at her.
“Girls… Girls,” Kashiwagi said before clapping her hands to get attention. “Does anyone remember those tales about how some men survived the event?”
Various moments of the girls muttering yes or some variants of it.
“Well, it could be possible that one man might be nearby, trying to hide from the American toons,” Kashiwagi said, making idle gestures to your hiding spot.
‘Oh shit. Gotta run…’ You thought before slowly sneaking away, keeping your eyes on them the whole time.
“Can you be sure?” Naru asked.
“Yeah, it kinda sounds like you’re sending us on a snipe hunt, just so you can steal all the booze for yourself,” Kitsune muttered with a frown. Kashiwagi glared at her.
“I am not a boozehound like you,” Kashiwagi replied.
“And I’m not a Christmas cake like you,” Kitsune retorted. Kashiwagi angrily growled at her.
“No fighting!” Chiharu said.
“Are you sure that we won’t be harmed by the man if we find him?” Nico asked.
“Oh, since we’re in a land of western toons in the comedy section and we’re anime toons in a non-serious story, the deck is stacked in our favor,” Kashiwagi said before covering her mouth with the back of her hand and laughing. A noble woman’s laugh.
“So… whoever finds him, gets to have him?” Mizore asked.
“At least his first time, before we all have a turn with him,” Kashiwagi said.
“You’re assuming he’ll want to have sex with all of us,” Chie muttered.
“Yeah, he could be scared of his mind,” Nico added.
‘And you’d be right, Nico,’ You thought. ‘I need time to plan what to do…’
“Well, if you find him, then you can either seduce him or protect him,” Kashiwagi said as she produced a folded fan. She aimed where she last saw you and ordered, “Now… Go!”
Chie and Chiharu looked at each other and nodded before saying, “Team Chi!”
Kitsune held Naru’s hand and said, “Team Hina!”
Nico looked at Mizore and held out her hand.
Mizore’s response was to create ice copies of herself and said, “I am Team Ice.”
Nico grumbled before stomping off to the campfire, “I’ll just make dinner for all of us at the campfire.”
Kashiwagi twitched a little. “I wanted you all to work by yourselves…”
“Tough luck, Cake-Sensei!” Kitsune chuckled. Before a furious Kashiwagi could respond, Kitsune said, “Ready-Set-Go!”
The Campfire comment gave you an idea.

You were in a woods. Sure, the land was focused towards comedy, but the Casper The Friendly Ghost cartoons and various other cartoons involving ghosts let you know they would let some scary stuff happen for plot reasons.
