The castle was still the town's Library and...
Unfortunately, while all his assumption would've been correct initialy, it was far from the truth. Yes, Palace was big and visible from all the corners of Ponyville but aside of the hall, throne room and her room, half was still the local library. Indeed, the lower parts of it contain the large surplus of books, the other was empty rooms, as in literal barren and devoid of everything in it liveable, there some rooms and other alcoves that were furnished and decorated but... well, it mostly reserved for dignitaries and other kind of special guests and while the interdimensional male was special, it wasn't enough to actually fit him to any of those rooms as much as she wanted, some protocols must be followed. Just because she got a quite an palace doesn't mean that she actually fully own it or is fully finished, most of the habitation side is barren and she doesn't count with a treasury to fully furnish it other that essential areas. Her status as Princess is pretty much mostly a title despite her ascension.

She frowns.

There wasn't much she could do but she doesn't want the male to get away from her, if he is what he says then he doesn't have any bits that allow him to stay in a Inn, what about her friends? She love them dearly but she rather not involve them, at least, not yet, she wanted to be the head of this new herd, call her selfish but if he went for her, she'll rather take the oportunity while she still had a chance rather than let another take it.

She was the Princess of Magic and Friendship but when an oportunity present itself? She'll take it.

"Think!" She began thinking "What would any of my friends do?" She immediately discarded Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy, both were... forward on their own way, Pinkie? Haha.. no. Applejack and Rarity? "Both would immediately charm him but both would make him sleep in their... room... That's it!"

"Uhh... Pri- Twilight?" She snapped off her thoughts the moment she heard the human speak, she gave him an smile and while it seem reassuring, she smile for completely different reasons but related to her currect dilemma.

"Oh, sorry about that." She apologies "Was thinking on your habitation; say, the castle might be big and visible but it lack proper habitation, most of the rooms and quarters are barren and most of the Palace actually is just an big fancy library with most of the lower halls dedicated for it." She sheepish informed. "It also has to do its history; the original library, which was also my former home prior my ascension, used to be here, and it was destroyed." She stated, pausing for a bit, choosing her next words. "The Palace was quickly made on top of its ruins but the town still lacked an library and since the... incident regarding the original location, and so the Palace has become the stand in until an new, proper library is made and I serve as its curator more than a Princess."

"I see... so, I take it I have to look for an Inn?"

"No!" She almost shoute but quickly put her hands on her mouth upon realizing what she had done but then slowly withdraw them and start explaining herself to the startled human. "I mean, no unless you have large quanitities of bits with you, and there aren't many inns around, only a two and both are quite steep on their prices, you need an more permanent habitation."

"I... see.. I think I can make an arrangement with the Mayor or something." The male began to think, like an good alicorn and princess she was, usually, she would let him think the options, it seemed reasonable to consult with the Mayor and other officials about it. However...

She outrank the Mayor and she doesn't want him anywhere else.

"It won't be necessary. I'm a princess remember? I can discuss arrangements in the future but... I think there might be a room available in the Castle." He stopped musing and looked at her a bit wierdly and confused, how couldn't he? Just moments ago she did said that the castle was pretty much barren of any available habitation and what just said contradict what was stated prior minutes ago and it was still true in some way, most rooms weren't available for the public...

Well..

Except for hers.

Part of her thought that this was too bold but it was perfect on the same time! Who know him? For all he knows, everypony would consider him an stranger to their eyes was true regardless of his gender, if anything, she was likely doing him a favor too, other mares would have taken adventage... much early and while this part come with more on deceit, it is her responsibility to educate him on Equestria's customs in an.. appropriate manner.

"Really?"

"Of course! There is one now that I remember." She say with the most confident voice she could muster while also attempting to make her face less flustered than it appear and so far he doesn't notice, likely because he continue glancing on some areas of her body or trying to look less awkward or both with some degree of success, part of her she was glad and excited about this and was convinced that it was going to be easy but that doesn't mean that she wasn't nervous because she was and deeply and was all prepared for all possible wrong outcomes. She hoped that this little ruse would carry on long enough "However, I think it's better if we get an small test of what you can do, after all, I don't accept all sort of students even with all unique background and origins."

"Of course, Prin- Twilight." She smiled again, there was that slip again, it's going to be a good time to get used to it, isn't it? Well at least now her plan can start formally, she had him follow her to another hall of the castle, the empty corridors reminds her that she never put an considerable guard force. She wasn't the one that wanted to feel her home to be like an barracks considering how small it was compared to the Palace of Canterlot, it was understandable and was deliberate as she can hold herself up, any mare could unlike their smaller males. Meanwhile, she was actually considering hiring an staff to keep the maintenance of the castle's insides but again, that involves on using Equestria's treasury and that was a big no which in cases like those she missed Spike so much but there is a time, like this one, that she was glad that he went to the Dragon Lands for the season.

Otherwise, he would have warned the human of her intentions right away and she couldn't have that.

Sometime later, night time

The day came and gone by, but you had made an god impression to the Princess of Magic, she put you throught several tests, some more tedious and lengthy, some practical rather theoretical and then there were others that were an mix of both and yet you passed them all and made her fully take you as her apprentice, she did warned, however, that Magic usually take time and depending of some magical schools and discipline, it could take lots of time but for someone of your talents, she reassured you that you were on the right track.

After some short ceremony between you two which was less of a ceremony and more like making an official clearance that you were officially her student, she showed you the library area, more importantly, the magic section of it and while big as you expected it to be, no everything was available to you. For apprenticeship, It was divided on tiers and only the beginner tier were free to you, still, you thanked her and started reading the beginner books, for a beginner tier, it was quite extensive and you were glad for that, it was your main goal at the first place but being with Twilight was a very nice bonus considering how.. stacked this anthro version yet you refrained from being caught checking her up.

After your binge reading within the library's halls, night came about quickly, Twilight did came down guide you to your room. Instead of stairs, she teleported both of you to the upper floors and followed her from there, you avoided on watching her swaying hips or anywhere else of her body, an bit hard of a task, all things considered and given your size in comparison, you were around her waist area and it served as an constant reminder that you were in a world far large then the common human. Such height wouldn't be supported to people back home but here? she and mares like her weren't just taller but stronger, it came to them naturally, this world was dubbed Amazonian by your magically fueled Lexicon for a reason and offending any of them, especially an Alicorn, it would be..

"You... detestable monkey-pig!" ZAAAP!

Yeah...

An angry alicorn, which are literal godlike beings, is the least thing you want. For all your expertise in spell casting, you weren't really good on defending yourself aside of making really good fractal shields which you doubt it'll last long against her power "I just have to play it cool, focus on magic first then.. hit on her? No, something less spontaneo-"

"Here we are!" The sudden announce of the young alicorn broke your musing as well does the sound of doors opening, she smiles to you as she opens the alcove that were presented to you which you couldn't help but stare at awe. It was quite big and luxuriously furnished room with fancy yet stuff of high quality: an queen sized royal bed with exquisite looking sheets and pillows, an desk with mirror, open closet that exhibit... feminine clothing? You also notice an familiar crown on top of the blank head of a mannequin. Next to the bed, there was big and somewhat exaggerated bed for pets. It seemed that the room did show sign of being occupied as you spotted an couple of books laying on that bed, which was also quite messy now that you notice. "Sorry if it's a bit messy." You heard her speak with a sheepishntone.

"... it's fine but is this the room?" To your surprise, she nods and gave you an quite bright expression but also notices an slight blush forming around her muzzle.

"Kinda.. it is also my room and we're going to share it!"
