Taking the long way home...
If Nico wasn't in hell before, she certainly was now.
Maki, completely unaware she had an entire shrunken person underneath her stride, did not hold back in the slightest while walking home. She was joined by Rin and Hanayo, as they lived in a similar direction. Normally Maki would call for a driver to take her back to her estate, but she decided to walk with her friends today to get the extra steps in.
If only Nico was lucky enough to be afforded a break for even a second, but alas, she was punished mercilessly beneath Maki's bare toes. After an entire day, her feet were more than deserving of rest. She had pushed herself far today, but taking the long way home would make her feel like she truly accomplished a solid day's workout.
"I wonder how Nico is doing, Nozomi said she went home early because she didn't feel well..." the shrunken girl could hear the voice of Hanayo from above.
"I'm sure she'll be okay. We can check on her after school tomorrow if she isn't back by then," said Maki.
"Party at Nico's place, nya!" cheered Rin.
"Dummy, we'd go make sure she wasn't deathly ill or anything," Maki quickly retorted Rin's gag.
Nico wailed as loud as she could, hoping anyone would realize the girl they were talking about was right beneath their noses. But the chattering of voices and clicking of their footsteps drowned out any chance of that happening.
Step by step, Nico was lifted effortlessly into the air, this was the best and worst part. Best because at least she didn't have the pressure of her friend's entire body squeezing the life out of her, worst because it was incredibly nausea inducing and made Nico feel like she was constantly about to free fall into a human torture device. Said torture device being her underclassman's sore foot.
Maki took another step, the heel of her shoe clicking on the pavement. Nico faceplanted onto the leather insole of the shoe. Her perfect facial features were slowly being smeared left and right, pounded like mochi over and over again. She was steamrolled back and forth between the redhead's playfully unaware toes. Each toe had a personality of its own, they seemingly took turns delightfully battering her, covering her in Maki's personal toe jam. It was a special mix of dirt, lint, and sweat creating a cocktail of gooey foot fungus that made Nico hurl multiple times.
Her anger had boiled over multiple times at this point. At first, the balls of toe jam were the size of baseballs to Nico, then they were the size of her head, and an hour later, by the time Maki arrived back at her esteemed mansion, the globs of toe jam were nearly larger than Nico's entire body. She had to swallow multiple gulps just to not suffocate. And she didn't have the luxury of chewing. She could only swallow with a swig of foot sweat because her throat was too dry. If she hadn't done any of this, she would have been overtaken with the ever-building ooze.
Nico was constantly in every state of grief possible. She would have done anything to rewind the clock, to go back and just not bother arguing with Nozomi today. But it was too late. Because she couldn't control her temper, something happened, and now she was forced into being her unaware friend's foot parasite.

Maki arrived home and popped off her shoes onto the entranceway. Her feet finally had some fresh air. The cool air conditioning felt amazing on them. She flexed her toes, feeling the frigid breeze clear off the glistening layer of sweat and grime. She knew she needed a bath, and soon.
"I hope no one could smell my feet today..." she mused.
By the end of the trip, Nico had passed out from exhaustion, nausea, and over-stimulation. She laid spread-eagle at the end of Maki's shoe, shrunken to such an inconceivably small size on the fresh imprint left by Maki's big toe.
She slowly got up, coughing up layer and layer of the shit she had just shoveled into herself. It was sickening, and if Nico survived this, she would never take proper foot care for granted again. She slowly walked towards the entrance of the shoe and looked up. Maki was still there, rubbing her feet! She needed to get her attention right now!
"Maaaaakiiiiiiiiii! Down heeeeereeee!" Nico cried out in desparation.
