As Mati’s hand brushed against her scales, Emily’s entire body seemed to shiver with delight. She wasn't used to humans being so calm—or so curious—after being used as a meal. The way he looked at her tail, not with fear but with a sort of scholarly appreciation, made her heart swell. She let out a high-pitched, bubbly giggle, her blue eyes shimmering as she suddenly lurched forward.

Instead of lunging to swallow him again, Emily wrapped her arms around him in a sudden, tight embrace. She didn't squeeze him with the crushing force her species was known for; instead, she hugged him gently, her touch as light as a feather. She pressed her cheek against his shoulder, her long pink hair cascading over his red shirt. For a moment, she just held him, leaning into him with a sweet, childlike affection that contrasted sharply with the terrifying experience of a few minutes prior.

"You're a funny human, Mr. Mati!" she chirped, her voice muffled against his chest. "Most people just scream and make my tummy ache, but you're just... curious!" She pulled back slightly, her expression beaming with a genuine, wide-eyed friendliness, though she kept one arm draped over his shoulder as if to make sure he wouldn't suddenly decide to run away.

Emilia watched the scene with a softened expression, her heart warming at the sight of her daughter's sudden affection for the young man. She noticed that Mati didn't pull away from the hug, despite being drenched in slime and still shaking slightly from the adrenaline. He had a peculiar kind of resilience, one that didn't come from strength or bravery in the traditional sense, but from an insatiable curiosity that outweighed his fear.

"Well, now that we've had our... *exciting* introduction," Emilia said, her voice carrying a playful undertone as she glided closer, her massive red coils brushing against the furniture. "I think it's time we actually showed Mati the rest of the house. Unless, of course, you've decided that being a snack is more appealing than being a tenant?" She winked at him, her blue eyes shimmering with a hint of mischief.

Mati let out a long, shaky breath, finally starting to find his equilibrium. He looked down at his soaked red shirt, then back at the two stunning creatures before him. The fear was still there—a lingering chill in his bones—but the curiosity was winning again. He gave a small, sheepish smile, glancing at the shimmering blue scales of Emily's tail.

"I think I'll stick to being a tenant," he replied, his voice returning to its normal pitch. "Being a snack is a bit too... high-pressure for me. But I'm still very interested in that attic. I have some hardware that needs a very specific kind of quiet, and I think this place is the perfect spot for it." He shivered slightly as a draft hit his wet clothes, but he didn't move away from them, feeling a strange sense of kinship with these unusual beings.

Emilia let out a soft, melodic laugh, her eyes shimmering as she watched the strange chemistry between her daughter and the young man. She glided closer, her massive red coils sliding across the hardwood with a rhythmic *shhh* sound, and she reached out to gently brush some of the remaining slime off Mati's shoulder. "I believe we should get you out of those wet clothes before you catch a chill, Mati. A shivering tenant is a miserable tenant."

She gestured toward the hallway, her voice warm and inviting. "The attic is just up the stairs. It’s a wonderful space—lots of natural light, and the ceiling is high enough that you won't feel cramped. I imagine it's exactly what your 'hardware' needs." As she spoke, she cast a side-glance at Emily, who was still beaming at Mati, her blue tail twitching with leftover excitement.

"You're right, the clothes are... definitely not at their best," Mati admitted, glancing down at the clinging fabric. He felt a strange mix of lingering adrenaline and growing fascination. He looked toward the stairs, his mind already shifting back to the technical side of things. "The attic, right? If it has the kind of space you described, I might be able to set up a secondary server rack. I've been wanting to test a new cooling system that uses ambient airflow, and a secluded house in the woods might actually provide the kind of temperature stability I need."

He stepped forward, his wet shoes making a slight *squish* with every movement, though he didn't seem to mind the discomfort. He looked at Emilia and Emily, feeling a sudden warmth toward them. They were dangerous, certainly—one had just treated him like a piece of sushi—but there was a genuine kindness in their eyes that felt more honest than most of the corporate landlords he had dealt with in the city.
