See what Skye’s games are about Party Guests/Snacks (choice adventure) chapter 2 by sotired

“Right then, let’s see what Skye’s doing!” Natalie says as she places her hand on the table in front of you. palm facing up. You climb on, and make yourself comfortable before she lifts her hand. Before leaving, she steps over to the bowl of lillies, and takes two of them with her other hand, popping one, a small thing with unkempt blonde hair, between her lips and keeping the other concealed in a loose fist.

She carries you both to the equally crowded dining room, where most of the guests are surrounding the table in the centre. The people yell, partly in dismay, partly in celebration at something going on between them. They part to let Natalie through, and she walks over to meet Skye, who’s sitting at the end of the table fiddling with a box of cards. In front of her, a dwindling group of lillies, and in the seat next to her, a vaguely miffed woman with a lillie peeking out of her breast pocket.

Skye swallows someone, then notices you, still sitting in a palm. She gives you a nod and turns to look up at Natalie. “Great timing, this. Natalie, meet Beth, Beth, Natalie. You know, there were two lillies in this pocket of hers a second ago…” she leans in and points at Beth’s pocket passenger, then looks up at her, “maybe next time, right?” she teases.

Beth tries coming up with something snappy but just breaks into giggles, “fine, fine, fair.”

The rest of the words exchanged between the towering women is lost on you, you’re too distracted by the sights of the other people your size. You watch the lazy-looking lillie in Nat’s other hand get passed to someone while she chats, almost absentmindedly, the fingers unfurling like a flower before the person inside was snatched up without protest. You see another, this one on the table, fiddling with her phone trying to take a quick selfie near Skye’s drumming fingers. You’re vaguely aware that the little table-side audience has lost interest, and they’re just talking amongst themselves now.

Suddenly, you’re brought out of your thoughts by Skye leaning closer towards you. “So, what’ll it be?”

You’re confused.

“Beer pong or Dizzy bottles? Can’t do poker anymore because everyone here,” she leans back to find Beth, “FUCKINg sucks she’s busy. By the- yeah.” She turns back towards you. “Natalie can’t decide, as usual, so which one?”

You look up at Nat. She shakes her head and mouths something. but you can’t tell what.
