You choose Lucy as your primary caretaker
After a few moments of deep thought, you reach to next conclusions: to go out on your own is practically a no no, who know what might happened to you out there. Next, about being under the charge of one of María's friends. It might be good, but in perhaps equal measure could be terrible for you. After all, you would not truly know the woman you would be your caretaker until you meted them. And that's a risk you were not thrill to make right now.
That leaves staying with the two local women you have interacted with, Lucy and her mom. Between choosing to have them both or just 1 as your primary caretaker you prefer the later: you think it would matter a lot simpler if just one of them needs to care about you, leaving the other one free to go into their personal business as usual, and not as disturbed by your arrival. They have their own lives after all, and they have as much of a right to enjoy them as they see fit.
Now that leaves between choosing between Lucy and María. On one hand, María is clearly matured, and seems attentive enough. She most certainly can be trusted to take of you. On the other hand, although your experience with Lucy's has not been great, perhaps she is actually nice, just like her mother said to you. Is just a matter of you being willing to trust her.
In the end, despite the risk involved, you decide you're willing to put that trust on her. You look up, and say:
"María, I have thought about it, and I decided I will stay here. Not only that, I choose Lucy as my primary caretaker."
Your words reach the woman, who smiles, and answers, back, saying:
"Me alegra que estés dispuesto a confiar en ella y darle una segunda oportunidad."("I'm glad you're willing to trust her and give her a second chance.")
Shen then looks at her daughter, and says:
"Hija, Denis se va a quedar, y te escogió a ti como su principal cuidadora. Por favor, simplemente estate atenta, y lograras ganar su confianza plena."("Daughter, Denis is going to stay, and he chose you as his main caretaker. Please, just be attentive, and you will gain his full trust.")
Lucy nods as an answer, and forms a small smile. Then, she puts one of her hand palm open, instilling you to climb up instead of grabbing you. She speaks to you while doing this, saying:
"Por favor, sube a mi palma. Te llevare a mi pieza, para así empezar a organizar como vivirás con nosotras."("Please, climb into my palm. I'll take you to my room, so I can start organizing how you will live with us.")
You nod, and climb up with relative ease. Then, once you're fully seated on it, Lucy takes her other hand in front of her other one. She's going to great lengths to show you her desire to keep you safer that before.
When Lucy stands up, she bids farewell to her mom, and María replies on a similar manner. Lucy then turns, and starts to walk.
Her pace is a lot more controlled: you feel a lot less shaking that before. Perhaps due to not being in her ass. Perhaps is due to her now actually caring to not disturb you.
You can only hope is the later. And that in the end, you correctly choose to trust her.
After a short walk down a hallway, which allowed you to see more details of the house you're going to stay for at least a time, you and Lucy are in front of a door. The girl opens it with her other hand, and enters into the room behind.
This must be Lucy's personal room, the one she told you about earlier.
Once she enters, Lucy closes the door now behind her, and looks at you. It appears she might say something to you, now that you're both in her private quarters.
