The trek towards the upstairs area hadn't been all that difficult given her new skillset, but Edna knew she would have to be extra careful if she didn't want to risk being caught. Not that she couldn't make a quick escape if the situation called for it mind you. But it was better to be safe than sorry.
Once she was in the upstairs hallway however, it became a guessing game of whose room was whose. The first one she stumbled across was empty and plain, probably a guest room. The next room turned out to be the bathroom. After that came the master bedroom. The bed was huge and the photos on the dresser belonged to a middle-aged couple.
There were two more rooms left but the next one gave the size altering ginger nerd pause. The walls were pink; the bed was pink and on it was a person. A tall looking blonde who appeared to be lying down on her side and was... crying? Heather "Freaking" Miles was crying. No! That wasn't right. The mouse was the one who was sobbing.
Edna could hardly believe it. Her arch enemy was in tears, and it made her heart ache. It didn't make sense. Seeing Heather pained shouldn't make her heart ache. If anything, she should feel empowered seeing her old bully suffer. But... this wasn't really her old bully anymore, was it?
The name was the same but the two couldn't be any more different if they tried. Heather was confident, the mouse was timid. Heather was stood proud, the mouse shied away. The former school idol was loud and in your face, the mouse was quiet and sad.
A continued observation of Heather's room revealed a Disney themed Ariel lamp and another computer table only this one was smaller and decorated with... were those anime figurines and sticker. Edna felt her brain short-circuiting. Heather was an anime fan. She could remember her mocking countless people for liking anime and yet she has Magical Princess Minky Momo sitting on her table.
Before the redhead could fully process her thoughts, the mouse stopped crying and began to sit up. She put down whatever she was holding and wiped her cheeks with her palms before retrieving her glasses from the bed. Her eyes were red and puffy, and she wore a tired frown on her face. It was too eerily similar to the one the geek girl on her worst days.
Enda started to breath heavy. This was all too much for her. She wanted to leave and was about to before the statuesque blonde got to her feet. She hit the hardwood with a loud thump, and the vibrations knocked her off her feet. Each step on the hardwood created a small tremor and the biggest one came when the giantess stepped dangerously close to her.
At the size she was currently at, Heather could've snuffed her out like an ant and been none the wiser. Edna breathed a sigh of relief when the blonde left the room. Where she was headed, the geek didn't know and quite frankly she didn't honestly care. She could just leave right now and shelve whatever this new development was for later.
Or she could take a look at whatever it was Heather left on the bed before she left. Edna could be like a curious cat at times and sometimes her curiosity got the better of her. Like right now. She was essentially breaking-n-entering after all. "Do I want to risk it?"
