"I can't believe I'm doing this." Edna whispered to herself as she crawled under Heather's front door. The Miles household was far nicer than her own and the iron gates alone proved it. The front garden was green and filled with flowers and the dark driveway was as smooth as butter.
The house itself was quite large from the outside as well, two stories to be exact. It was the kind of home that people dream of one day having. The kind of house she dreamed of for herself one day. The inside was just nice. The carpets were clean, the white walls were decorated with pictures, and the living room alone was absolutely gorgeous.
"Looks like the coast is clear." Edna told herself as she increased herself back to her normal size. She almost couldn't believe that she was actually inside her former bully's house. She should be terrified and she was, but also curious to learn more about Heather and what's become of her firsthand.
Before heading upstairs, she decided to take a little trip towards the basement. The door leading downstairs was open, and she didn't hear any noise. If she had to guess, everyone aside from the blonde was out somewhere. Enda shrunk herself a little to make less noise on the stairs and entered the basement area.
"Wow!" The geek girl's eyes sparkled. Heather's basement was like a man cave. There was a flatscreen on the back wall and attached to it was a Blu-ray player and the latest video game consoles. She never took the former school idol for a hardcore gamer. There was also a foosball table, a futon, a bookshelf line with games and movies, an awesome red matt, and... Edna's jaw dropped. "No way!"
A computer table with three monitors and all the latest hardware. The geek girl couldn't believe it. She practically sprinted over to it and ran her hand along the keyboard. It was cold obviously from lack of use, but Enda just couldn't help herself. She pressed a key and watched the three monitors light up.
"Darn." She didn't know the password. She really wanted to test the computer herself, but she came here with a purpose and shouldn't get sidetracked. But still. As she turned away, she stopped to give the setup on last look. "I'll return someday."
She eventually began to snoop around some more. She stumbled upon a closet that was filled with boxes. Being ever curious, the ginger girl opened one and was greeted by a bunch of bowling trophies. The named at the bottom revealed them to be Heather's dads. She then opened another box and froze when she found it filled with clothes.
"These are Heather's dresses." Edna commented. She recognized the pink one she wore the day she and her entourage embarrassed her during Valentine's Day by tricking her into thinking she a secret admirer. She could remember crying alone in the bathroom afterward when the truth was revealed. "Bitch."
She grabbed another box and inside is what looked like an old photo album. Edna smirked and took a seat on the floor. She flipped it open and was met by a picture of Heather when she was a little girl. It was odd seeing her nemesis looking so genuinely happy and not malicious. She probably hadn't learned to be cruel yet.
Enda flipped through the book which was an odd trip down memory lane. Heather as a baby, Heather in her formative years, Heather as the evil and bitchy teenager she grew to know and hate. The photo that stuck out most however was the last one added in, the current Heather. Her blonde hair was cut short; she wore glasses and was dressed in a red and white striped shirt with blue overalls.
The image was such a departure from the girl she knew... Heather "Freaking" Miles. This wasn't the bully who made her life hell, the prima-donna of prime evil, this was the mouse who was tall and skittish. Easily frightened and stuttering in a way the evil bitch she knew wouldn't. It was like she was completely different person and that bothered Enda greatly.
"Why can't anything with you be simple?" Edna asked. Even when Heather wasn't actively going out of her way to torture her, she was still causing her discomfort. She needed to sort her feelings out and decide her next course of action.
